1.  Bob’s parents: John Addison and Sarah Ellen (Kerrick) Biles

 

2.  Bob’s birth: 19 July 1900 at home on the family farm (previously the Jacob Place Biles residence) near Homets Ferry, Wyalusing Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

 

Bob’s death: 19 June 1971 from a sudden heart attack at home in West Franklin (RD 1, Monroeton), Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Had gone to the car in preparation for taking his son, Jeffery, swimming, and was stricken while waiting there alone.  Harriett found him slumped over in the seat.  A memorial service was held Tuesday, 22 June 1971 at the Morse Funeral Home, 12 E. Main Street, Canton, Pennsylvania, with Pastor Richard Martin officiating; interment followed in the LeRoy Cemetery, LeRoy Township, Bradford County.

Enlisted 6 July 1942 in the US Army at Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania for the duration of World War II (serial # 33348000).  In January 1945 was a Private First Class assigned to the US Army Air Forces at George Field, Lawrenceville, Illinois.

a. Harriett’s mother died from complications of child birth when Harriett was 8 years old.  From that point Harriett was raised by her maternal grandmother and step-grandfather.

Wiggins, age 63 (b. PA; parents b. PA), who was married 1st at age 19; and step-granddaughter, Harriett C. Wooster, age 10 (b. PA; parents b. PA).

1920 US Census: Wilson A. Biles, age 27 (b. PA; parents b. PA) and employed as a farm manager, was heading a household in Washington Township, Allen County, Indiana.  The household also included his wife, Jeneva Biles, age 28 (b. IN; parents b. IN); daughter, Mary E. Biles, age 4 months (b. IN; father b. PA; mother b. IN); sister-in-law, Esther Hunt, age 20 (b. IN; parents b. IN); brother, John R. Biles, age 20 (b. PA; parents b. PA), single, and employed as a farm laborer; hired hand, Walter E. Price, age 23 (b. IN; parents b. OH); hired hand, Earl Woodworth, age 22 (b. OH; parents b. 1940 US Census: John W. Rubert, age 48 (b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Burlington Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  He had completed 8th grade.  The household also included his wife, Ruth E. Rubert, age 43 (b. PA), who had completed 4 years of high school; daughter, Mildred L. Rubert, age 20 (b. PA), who had completed 4 years of high school; son, Raymond E. Rubert, age 17 (b. PA), who had completed 3 years of high school; daughter, Pauline J. Rubert, age 14 (b. PA), who had completed 8th grade; son, Gerald E. Rubert, age 7 (b. PA); and brother-in-law, J. Robert Biles, age 39 (b. PA), single, and employed as a farm hand, who had completed 8th grade.  All but Robert Biles resided in the same house on 1 April 1935; Robert Biles resided elsewhere in Bradford County on 1 April 1935.  Of interest, the household headed by Leon L. Rubert, age 46 (b. PA) and widowed, was enumerated next door.  That household also included Leon's brother, Fred S. Rubert, age 42 (b. PA) and single.
