1900 US Census: James Christie, age 39 (b. Oct 1860), was heading a household in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife of 15 years, Carrie Christie (age 41 - b. Apr 1859); daughter, Marsha (sp) Christie (age 8 - b. May 1891); boarder, Charles (sp) Christie (age 81 - Feb 1819, single, not employed); and boarder, Lydia (sp) Christie (age 68 - May 1832, widowed, not employed).

 

1920 US Census: James S. Christie, age 59 (b. IA, parents b. NYS), was heading a household on Main Street in the Village of Evans Mills, LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Carrie Christie (age 60, b. NYS, as were her parents); daughter, Marcia Christie (age 28, single); and cousin, Mina Bacon (age 58).

 

1930 US Census: Carrie E. Christie, age 71 (m. 1st age 26), was heading a household in Evans Mills, LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included her daughter, Marcia P. Christie (age 39, single); niece, Christine Gardner (age 31, single, employed as a school teacher)[dau of Dr. Levi Elijah Gardner]; boarder, Thomas Adrian (age 81, single); boarder, Nelson J. Ramsdell (age 26, single); and boarder, James H. Keiling (age 65, married).

 

James S. Christie married Carrie A./E. Clark (b. 6/5 Apr 1869/59, d. 14 Mar 1932), also a cousin of Myron Parsons Gardner, on 5 November 1922 and had the following children:
