NYS), single, and employed as a painter doing odd jobs; and son, Floyd Duffany, age 12 (b. NYS).

Frank J. Duffany married Francis “Fannie” Young (b. 1865, d. 1919; interred Oakwood Cem.) and had the following children:

Died 1969, age 79, at Cooperstown, New York; interred Hillside Cemetery, Antwerp, Jefferson County, New York. Resided at and, for a period of time, was Mayor of Antwerp and served for years on the Village Board. Also operated grocery stores there. Married Bessie A. Spriggs of Antwerp on 9 April 1917 at the Spriggs residence and had the following daughter:

(1) Phyliss Duffany: Married Arthur Jamieson and resided at Cooperstown, New York. Phyliss Duffany had the following children:

Died there 7 April 1938, age 68 (exactly), from complications of a stroke ; interred Oakwood Cemetery, Theresa, Jefferson County, New York. Employed last (since 1918) as Assistant Superintendent of the Theresa lighting system. Had also been the Village Fire Chief.

The household also included his wife, Isabelle Duffany (age 39), daughter, Lena Duffany (age 8); daughter, Mary Duffany (age 3 years 11 months); niece Susie Schwartz (age 20); and niece, Sarah Schwartz (age 11).

1930 US Census: Lewis Duffany, age 60 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as an electrician in a power plant, was heading a household in Theresa Township, Jefferson County, New York. Lewis and Isabelle raised (to some extent) the following children:

During World War II operated the Camp Drum Exchange. Married (2^nd) Hobart H. Minnick (d. 1966), former Mayor of Theresa, in October 1964.

Anna May Schwartz: Born 13 May 1903 in Pamelia Township, Jefferson County, New York; daughter of Isabelle (MacDonald) Duffany's sister, Sarah (MacDonald) Schwartz, who died 30 August 1908 from complications of child birth. Died 16 December 1988. Raised by the Duffanys from at least age 8 months. Married Adolf Hermann (b. 1901 in Germany), who immigrated to the US in 1925, and resided at Calcium, Jefferson County, New York. Had 10 children.

(c. Sarah A. Schwartz: Born 17 August 1908 in Theresa Township, Jefferson County, New York; daughter of Christian Sigemund (b. Prussia) and Sarah (MacDonald) Schwartz (sister of Isabelle (MacDonald) Duffany), who d. 30 Aug 1908 from complications of this Sarah's birth. Died 9 June 1960 at Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. Married William Fulford.

Belonged to the Theresa Presbyterian Church. Married Wesley A. Dudley (b. 7 Mar 1912, d. 27 Jan 1988), son of William Dudley of Theresa, on Wednesday, 25 November 1936 at her parents’ residence. Wesley graduated 1930 from Theresa High School and was employed as an electrician for the Theresa lighting system. Later he was also Superintendant and Clerk of the Village of Theresa. Wesley and Lena had the following daughter:

(e. Mary Duffany: Born 17 February 1916 in New York. Died 17 June 2002 at Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida. Graduated from Theresa High School in 1934 and subsequently from the Watertown School of Commerce. Married Douglas Desormeau, son of Daniel and Mildred (DeYoung) Desormeau of Chaufty’s Corners, Theresa Township, on Easter Sunday, 1939. Douglas also graduated from Theresa High School in 1934.

(f. Betty Jane Duffany: Born 1921. Died 1921; interred Oakwood Cemetery, Theresa, Jefferson County, New York.

(g. Allen Eugene Duffany: (photos) (more info) Born 26 March 1923 in Theresa Township, Jefferson County, New York. Died 20 July 2013, age 90, at the Palm City Nursing and Rehab Center, Stuart, Martin County, Florida; memorial service 20 July 2014 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Brownville, Brownville Township, Jefferson County, New York. Graduated from Theresa High School. Veteran of World War II; served in the European theater of operations as a vehicle mechanic in the US Army Air Corps. Proprietor of an auto body shop in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York.

Allen Duffany married Elane Jeann Baum on 17 January 1948 at Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York and had the following children:

Died Friday, 11 June 1954, age 82, at home in Los Angeles, California; interred Oakwood Cemetery, Theresa. After years of severe parental abuse, was raised by friends from about age 6.

Cora Stage married (1^st), as his 2nd wife, Joseph Jacques Lambert (b. 20 Jun 1866 at Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, d. 27 Sep 1935 at Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence Co., NY) in February 1885. Joseph had married (1st) Cora's 1st cousin, Mary "Minnie" Duffany and had a daughter (see above). Cora and Joseph had the following children:
