Getman, age 29 (b. NYS); daughter, Almira Getman, age 3 (b. NYS); and servant, Victor Williams, age
44 (b. NYS).

as a farmer, was heading a household on Point Peninsula, Lyme Township,
Jefferson County, New York. His real

NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household on Point Peninsula, Lyme
Township, Jefferson County, New York.

parents b. NYS); daughter, Elmira Getman, age 22 (b. NYS) and single, who had a
spinal injury; son, Fred Getman, age 18 (b. NYS) and single, with no occupation

Henry Getman married Eunice L. Barnes (b. Sep 1825 in

and was found dead there from complications of starvation in 1933.

Gitman, age 87 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and widowed,
who had his own income.

"Myra" Getman: Born 1857 in Jefferson
County, New York. Died
1901. Crippled
when she was accidentally dropped as an infant by her brother, breaking her
back. She was bed-ridden for 42
years and apparently never left the house in which she was born. Made a doll quilt for her
nephew, Lewis
“Lew” C. Burdick, when he was young. Lew still had that quilt in later life.
(7) John Getman: Resided on a farm adjacent to his
brother, Henry Getman, above (houses within a mile of each other). However, in the thirty years Lewis Carlisle
Burdick knew them, the brothers never met – perhaps the result of a
falling out at an earlier time. John had
the following daughter:
(a) Kate Getman: Married Alonzo Becker, who operated one of the best
(most productive) farms on Point Peninsula.
Kate and Alonzo had the following children:
