Mae Gossett: Born 20 October 1913 in Codington County, South Dakota. Died 22 April 1987 in Florida; interred Coral
Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral, Lee County, Florida. Married Melvin Jarome
Tinder (b. 12 Aug 1911 at Lockney, Floyd Co., TX, d. 28 Dec 1980 in FL;
interred with Velna), son of James Newton and Eva
Florence (Ridenour) Tinder.
1940 US Census: Melvin Tinder, age
29 (b. TX) and employed as foreman in a lock manufacturing company, was heading
a household at 11810 Lowe Street in the City of Chicago, Cook County,
Illinois. He had completed 4 years of
high school. The household also included
his wife, Velna Tinder, age 26 (b. SD), who had
completed 4 years of high school. They
resided in the same city on 1 April 1935.
