Born 20 August 1760 at New London, Connecticut.  Died 28 June 1845, age 84, in Pinckney Township, Lewis County, New York; interred there in Pinckney Corners Cemetery.  Veteran of the American Revolutionary War.  Resided at New Lebanon and Saratoga, New York until 1817, when he moved his family to Pinckney Township, Lewis County, New York.

Born 13 December 1763; daughter of James and Lois (?) Giddings.  Died 25 July 1826.  Married Joseph Jeffers, Jr. in 1782.

NH, d. Oct ,age 73; interred with Benjamin) in 1848 and had the following children: (order uncertain)

Jeffers: Born in Pinckney Township, Lewis County, New York.  Died in South Dakota; interred there.  Moved to South Dakota, settling at Frederick in Brown County, where he operated a grain mill.  Married Ida May (?) (d. Belleville, Ellisburg Twp, Jefferson Co., NY; interred with James in SD) and had the following son:

 

(1) Florence Jeffers: Born in Frederick, Brown County, South Dakota.  Died Belleville, Ellisburg Township, Jefferson County, New York; interred Woodside Cemetery, Belleville.  Married John O'Connell (d. Belleville; interred with Florence) at Selby, South Dakota and subsequently resided for many years at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.  Later resided on Swan Road in/near the Village of Belleville, Ellisburg Township, Jefferson County, New York.

 

(b. W. B. Jeffers: Died January 1918 at Des Moines, Iowa, age 40-45.  Initially resided at Belleville and Smithville, Jefferson County, New York.  Moved to Iowa 7 years before death.  Employed there as a real estate dealer.  Never married.

 

(c. Mary A. Jeffers: Initially resided with her parents at Belleville, Ellisburg Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Cared for her mother there until she died.  Subsequently resided with her sister, Dora, at Sackets Harbor, Hounsfield Township, Jefferson County, New York.

 

(d. A. Eldora "Dora" Jeffers: Initially resided with her parents at Belleville, Ellisburg Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Cared for her mother there until she died.  Subsequently resided with her sister, Mary, at Sackets Harbor, Hounsfield Township, Jefferson County, New York.
