1860 US Census: Simon, age 88 and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included Caroline (sp) Keller (age 26); and William Keller (age 6).  All were born in New York State.

1840 US Census: Jacob, age 40 to 50, was heading a household in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included 2 males under age 5; 1 age 5 to 10; 1 male age 10 to 15; 1 male age 15 to 20; 1 male age 20 to 30; 1 female age 5 to 10; 1 female age 10 to 15; 1 female 20 to 30; and 1 female age 40 to 50.

 

1850 US Census: Jacob, age 56 and employed as a farmer, was born in NYS and heading a household in LeRay Township.  Other members of the household included his wife, Nancy Keller (age 54, b. NYS); son, Aaron Keller (age 24, b. NYS); son, Simon Keller (age 23, b. NYS); daughter, Rosina Keller (age 20, b. NYS); son, William Keller (age 18, b. NYS); and son, Joseph Keller (age 16, b. NYS).

 

1860 US Census: Jacob, age 65 and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included Aaron Keller (age 35, employed as a farmer); Louisa Keller (age 25) (probably Aaron’s wife); Hiram Keller (age 4); William Keller (age 25, employed as a farmer); and Eliza A. Morrison (age 16, employed as a servant.  All were born in New York State.

 

Jacob Keller married Nancy Petrie (d. 13 Sep 1854, age 56 yrs, 7 mo., 26 days; interred with Jacob) and had the following children:

(2. Simon Keller, Jr.: Born about 1827.  Died 1909; interred Evans Mills Cemetery (New Section), Evans Mills, LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.

 

1870 US Census: Simon, age 43 and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Caroline Keller, age 35; son, William H. Keller, age 15; and daughter, Clara Ann, age 12.

 

Simon Keller married Caroline (?) (b. abt 1835) and had the following children:

1880 US Census: John Keller, age 36 (b. NYS) and employed as , resided in the household headed by his brother, David Keller, age 37, in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included John's wife, Elisabeth Keller, age 33 (b. NYS); son, Byron Keller, age 10 (b. NYS); and daughter, Allie Keller, age 1 (b. NYS).

NYS) and widowed, who had her own income and had had no children.

Keller: (more info) Born 1872 in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Died Saturday, 18 May 1929, age 54, from complications of heart disease at home in the Village of Evans Mills, LeRay Township, Jefferson County; interred Evans Mills Cemetery.  Employed 18 years at Calcium, Jefferson County by Madison Cooper.  In 1927 moved to Evans Mills to work for F. X. Baumert & Company, Inc.

 

1900 US Census: Oscar Keller, age 27 (b. Oct 1872 in NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Addie Keller, age 19 (b. Jun 1880 in NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. English-speaking Canada), who had had 1 child; son, Wesley John Keller, age 8 months (b. Oct 1899 in NYS); mother, Elizabeth Keller, age 53 (b. Mar 1847 in NYS; parents b.
