1860 US Census: There was a Warren E. Kinny, age 16 and employed as a laborer, residing in the household headed by Samuel Baker, age 31 and employed as a farmer, in Mayfield Township, Fulton County, New York.  There was also a Warren E. Kinney, age 17 and employed as a laborer, residing in the household headed by Andrew J. King, age 28 and employed as a farmer, in Northampton Township, Fulton County, New York.

 

1865 NYS Census: Warren E. Kinney, age 21 (b. Fulton Co., NY) and employed as a mechanic, resided in the household headed by his mother-in-law, Lillia (sp) Smith, age 60 (b. Saratoga Co., NY), widowed, and the mother of 5 children from 1 marriage, in Edinburgh Township, Saratoga County, New York.  The household also included Lillia's son, Robert P. Smith, age 32 (b. Saratoga Co., NY), widowed, and employed as a mechanic; daughter, Deborah Kinney, age 27 (b. Saratoga Co., NY); daughter, Elenor Taylor, age 22 (b. Saratoga Co., NY); son, Charles Smith, age 13 (b. NYS); son, Lyman Kinney, age 4 (b. NYS); and daughter, Nellie Kinney, age 1 (b. NYS).

 

1875 NYS Census: Warren C. Kenney, age 32 (b. Fulton Co., NY) and employed as a mechanic, was heading a household in Edinburgh Township, Saratoga County, NY.  The household also included is wife, Deborah N. Kenney, age 38 (b. Saratoga Co., NY); son, Lyman Kenney, age 9 (b. Saratoga Co., NY); daughter, Nellie Kenney, age 6 (b. Saratoga Co., NY); son, William A. Kenney, age 4 (b. Saratoga Co., NY); and son, Eddie R. Kenney, age 7 months (b. Saratoga Co., NY).

NYS) and employed in the manufacture of washboards, was heading a household in Edinburgh Township, Saratoga County, New York.  The household also included his wife, D. M. Kenny, age 43 (b. NYS); son, Lyman Kenny, age 14 (b. NYS) and employed in the manufacture of washboards; daughter, Nellie J. Kenny, age 11 (b. NYS); son, Willie Kenny, age 9 (b. NYS); and son, Eddie Kenny, age 5 (b. 1900 US Census: Warren Kenney, age 56 (b. Aug 1843 in NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a screen tender in a pulp mill, resided in the household headed by his son, William H. Kenney, age 28, in the Village of Corinth, Corinth Township, Saratoga County, New York.

 

1905 NYS Census: Warren E. Kenney, age 60 (b. US) and employed as a screen tender, resided in the household head by his son, William A. Kenney, age 34 (b. US) and employed as a carpenter, at 203 Palmer Avenue in the Village of Corinth, Corinth Township, Saratoga County, New York.  

 

1915 NYS Census: Warren E. Kenney, age 72, was heading a household in house #17 in the Village of Gloversville, Fulton County, New York.  The household appears to be joint with his son, Edward C. Kenney, age 39.

 

1920 US Census: Warren C. Kenney, age 75 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and widowed, resided in the household headed by his son, Edward Kenney, age 44 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a weaver in a silk mill, in Gloversville Township, Fulton County, New York.

 

1925 NYS Census: Warren Kenney, age 82, resided in the household headed by his son, Edward Kenney, age 50, in Gloversville, Fulton County, New York.

Born about 1837 in Saratoga County, New York; daughter of Lyman and Zilpha (?) Smith (b. Saratoga Co., NY).  Died .

 

1850 US Census: Lyman Smith, age 51 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Edinburgh Township, Saratoga County, New York.  His real estate was valued at $300.  The household also included his wife, Zilpha Smith, age 45 (b. NYS); son, Amos Smith, age 22 (b. NYS); son, Robert Smith, age 17 (b. NYS); daughter, Deborah Smith, age 14 (b. NYS); and daughter, Eleanor Smith, age 9 (b. NYS).

 

1860 US Census: Zilpha Smith, age 55, was heading a household in Edinburgh Township, Saratoga County, New York.  The household also included her daughter, Deborah Smith, age 23; daughter, Eleanor Smith, age 18; son, Charles W. Smith, age 8; Rachael Anderson, age 30 and employed as a school teacher; and Mary A. Anderson, age 9.  Zilpha's son, Robt Smith, age 27 and employed as a farmer, was heading a household next door.  That household also included Robert's wife, Elisabeth Smith, age 26.

1892 NYS Census: Lyman Kenny, age 26 (b. US) was employed as a clerk in Corinth Township, Saratoga County, New York.  Enumerated on the same Census page, Anna Diedrich, age 17 (b. US) was employed laying paper.  Anna was the daughter of August (age 52 and employed as a watchman in a paper mill) and Ernestine Diedrich (age 41), both born in Germany.

 

Lyman S. Kenney married Anna L. Diedrich (more info) (b. 24 May 1874 in Corinth Twp, NY, d. 28 Dec 1921, age 47 yrs, 7 mo., 4 days from complications of acute kidney blockage in Meriwether Hospital, Ashville, NC; interred Corinth, NY), daughter of August (b. Germany) and Erenstine (?) Diedrich (b. Germany), and had the following daughter:

 

(1. Helma Kenney: Born 29 July 1898 in Corinth Township, Saratoga County, New York.  Died 9 June 1984, age 85 at Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina; interred 11 June 1984 in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, Rockingham County, North Carolina.  Married (?) Dennett.

 

b. Nellie J. Kenney: Born about 1869 in Saratoga County, New York.

 

c. William H. Kenney: Born June 1871 in Saratoga County, New York.  Employed as a carpenter.

 

1900 US Census: William H. Kenney, age 28 (b. Jun 1871 in NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a press tender in a pulp mill, was heading a household in The Village of Corinth, Corinth Township, Saratoga County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Laura B. Kenney, age 28 (b. Nov 1871 in NYS; parents b. NYS); father, Warren E. Kenney, age 56 (b. Aug 1843 in NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a screen tender in a pulp mill; and brother, Edward C. Keney, age 25 (b. Nov 1874 in NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as boss pressman in a pulp mill.

1880 US Census: Eddie Kenny, age 5 (b. NYS), resided with his parents in Edinburgh Township, Saratoga County, New York.

 

1900 US Census: Edward C. Kenney, age 25 (b. Nov 1874 in NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as boss pressman in a pulp mill, resided in the household headed by his brother, William H. Kenney, age 28, in the Village of Corinth, Corinth Township, Saratoga County, New York.

 

1905 NYS Census: Edward Kinney, age 30 (b. US) and employed as a pressman, was heading a household in the Village of Corinth, Corinth Township, Saratoga County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Mary F. Kinney, age 27 (b. US).

 

1910 US Census: Edward Kenney, age 35 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a stock clerk for a gas office, was heading a household at 20 West Center Street in Gloversville, Fulton County, New York.  The household also included his wife of 6 years, Mary Kenney, age 32 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who had had 3 children, 1 of whom was still alive; and daughter, Marion R. Kenney, age 2 (b. NYS).

 

1915 NYS Census: Edward C. Kenney, age 39, was heading a household in house #17 in the Village of Gloversville, Fulton County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Mary F. Kenney, age 36; daughter, Marion R. Kenney, age 7; daughter, Harriet B. Kenney, age 7; son, Edward H. Kenney, age 2; and son, Lyman F. Kenney, age 1.  The household appears to be joint with his father, Warren E. Kenney, age 72.

NYS; parents b. NYS); daughter Marion Kenney, age 12 (b. NYS); daughter, Harriet Kenney, age 9 (b. NYS); son, Edward Kenney, Jr., age 7 (b. NYS); and father, Warren C. Kenney, age 75 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and widowed.

 

1925 NYS Census: Edward Kenney, age 50, was heading a household in Gloversville, Fulton County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Mary Kenney, age 49; daughter, Marion Kenney, age 17; daughter, Harriet Kenney, age 14; son, Edward Kenney, age 12; and father, Warren Kenney, age 82.

 

1930 US Census: Edward C. Kenney, age 55 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a retail grocer, was heading a household at 78 Notre Dame Street in the City of Glens Falls, Warren County, New York.  His real estate was valued at $7,000, and he was married at age 30.  The household also included his wife, Mary F. Kenney, age 52 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who was married at age 26; daughter, Marian R. Kenney, age 22 (b. NYS) and single; daughter, Harriet B. Kenney, age 19 (b. NYS) and single; and son, Edward N. Kenney, age 17 (b. NYS) and single.

 

1940 US Census: Edward C. Kenney, age 65 (b. NYS) and employed as a grocery man, was heading a household at 19 Glenwood Avenue in the City of Glens Falls, Queensbury Township, Warren County, New York.  He had completed 8th grade and had resided in the same township on 1 April 1935.  The household also included his wife, Mary F. Kenney, age 62 (b. NYS), who had completed 8th grade; nephew, Donald M. Frasier, age 24 (b. NYS), who had completed 3 years of high school and was employed as a laborer in a color and paper mill; and niece-in-law, Pauline Frasier, age 19 (b. NYS), who had completed 3 years of high school and was employed as a house worker for a private family.
