1910 US Census: Edward A. Flynn, age 40 (b. England; parents b. England) and employed as a locomotive machinist, was heading a household at 528 Lenox Road in the City of Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York.  He immigrated to the US in 1885 and was subsequently naturalized.  The household also included his wife of 10 years, Margaret Flynn, age 37 (b. NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. England), who had had 3 children, all still alive; daughter, Mary Flynn, age 9 (b. NYS); daughter, Phyllis Flynn, age 5 (b. NYS); son, Arthur Flynn, age 1 year and 9 months (b. NYS); and sister-in-law, Katherine Walsh, age 24 (b. NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. England) and employed as a hair dresser.

 

1915 NYS Census: Arthur E. Flynn, age 6, resided with his parents.

 

1925 NYS Census: Arthur E. Flynn, age 16, resided with his parents in the Cith of Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York.

 

1930 US Census: Edward Flynn, age 54 (b. England; parents b. Ireland) and employed as a locomotive machinist, was heading a household at 314 Lenox Road in the City of Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York.  His home was valued at $9,000; he immigrated to the US in 1884; and he was married 1st at age 24.  The household also included his wife, Margaret L. Flynn, age 52 (b. NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. England), who was married 1st at age 22; and son, Arthur E. Flynn, age 21 (b. NYS), single, and employed as a clerk for the electric company.

 

Barbara Mather married Arthur Edward Flynn (b. abt 1909, d. 13 Sep 1938 from a self inflicted gunshot wound; interred with family in Schenectady County, NY) of Malone, New York and son of Edward E. and Margarette S. (Walch) Flynn, on 20/26 November 1934 in Adams Township, Jefferson County, New York.  They both died about 4 years later in what appeared to be a murder-suicide perpetrated by Arthur, who, reportedly, had some mental problems after receiving head injuries in a fall and undergoing two subsequent brain surgeries.

Born 23 October 1912 in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Died about 15 January 2008, age 95, at Watertown, Jefferson County, New York.  Married George Kitfield Pelton, generation 2 of the Pelton Annex on 31 May 1934 at Roberts Corners, Adams Township, Jefferson County, New York.  See Pelton Annex for Eunice's descendants.

1830 US Census: Luther Mather was heading a household in Ellisburg Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household included 1 male under age 5; 1 male age 5 to 10; 1 male age 15 to 20; 1 male age 30 to 40; 1 female under age 5; 1 female age 5 to 10; 1 female age 10 to 15; and 1 female age 30 to 40.

 

Luther Mather married Gabrielle B. Balmat (b. 2 Aug 1791 at Paris, France, d. 15 Jan 1881) in 1811 in Wilna Township, Jefferson County, New York and in 1825 settled in Columbus Borough, Pennsylvania.  Gabrielle immigrated to the US in 1797.  Luther and Gabrielle had 6 children, including:

 

a. Harriet Mather.

 

b. Jedediah P. Mather.

 

c. Joseph V. Mather.

 

d. Eliza M. Mather: Born 1823 in Jefferson County, New York.  Married Loren Pearce (b. 1815 in Madison Co., NY) in 1842.

Jefferson Co., NY) and employed as a laborer, was heading a household in the 3rd Ward of Watertown, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Harriet Mather, age 60 (b. Jefferson Co., NY).  Of interest, Walter B. Mather was enumerated beside him.
