parents b. England) and employed as a locomotive machinist, was heading a
household at 528 Lenox Road in the City of Schenectady, Schenectady County, New
York. He immigrated to the US in 1885
and was subsequently naturalized. The
household also included his wife of 10 years, Margaret Flynn, age 37 (b. NYS;
father b. NYS; mother b. England), who had had 3 children, all still alive;
daughter, Mary Flynn, age 9 (b. NYS); daughter, Phyllis Flynn, age 5 (b. NYS);
son, Arthur Flynn, age 1 year and 9 months (b. NYS); and sister-in-law,

immigrated to the US in 1884; and he was married 1st at age 24. The household also included his wife,
Margaret L. Flynn, age 52 (b. NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. England), who was
married 1st at age 22; and son, Arthur E. Flynn, age 21 (b. NYS), single, and
employed as a clerk for the electric company.
Barbara Mather married Arthur Edward Flynn (b. abt
1909, d. 13 Sep 1938 from a self inflicted gunshot wound; interred with family
in Schenectady County, NY) of Malone, New York and son of Edward E. and Margarette S. (Walch) Flynn, on
20/26 November 1934 in Adams Township, Jefferson County, New York. They both died about 4 years later in what
appeared to be a murder-suicide perpetrated by Arthur, who, reportedly, had
some mental problems after receiving head injuries in a fall and undergoing two
subsequent brain surgeries.
