Jefferson County, New York. Emigrated to the United States.
1855 NYS Census: William Perkins, age 34 (b.
England) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Denmark Township,
Lewis County, New York. His frame
residence was valued at $300, and he had resided in Denmark Township for 3
years. The household also included his
wife, Elizabeth Perkins, age 34 (b. England), who had also resided at Denmark
for 3 years; son, William H. Perkins, age 1 (b. Lewis Co., NY); and brother,
Benjamin Perkins, age 32 (b. England) and employed as a farmer, who had resided
in Denmark Township for 3 years. Perhaps
the residence also included Maria Bent, age 32 (b. Jefferson Co., NY), Loretta
Bent, age 9 (b. Lewis Co., NY); and Alfiretta Bent
(female), age 7 (b. Lewis Co., NY), and, of interest, the household headed by
Peter Bent, age 54 (b. VT) and employed as a farmer, and who had resided in

1880 US Census: Wm Perkins, age 62 (b. England;
parents b. England) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in the
Village of Black River (north side of river), LeRay Township, Jefferson County,
New York. The household also included
his wife, Elizabeth Perkins, age 58 (b. England); son, Wm Perkins, Jr., age 26
(b. NYS), single, and employed as a laborer; and daughter, Emogene
Perkins, age 21 (b. NYS) and single.

at Black River, LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New
York; interred there in Black River Cemetery.
1900 US Census: William Perkins, age 46 (b. Sep 1853
in NYS; parents b. England) and employed in a factory, was heading a household
in the Village of Black River, LeRay Township, Jefferson County, New York. The household also included his wife of 19
years, Allice Perkins, age 47 (b. Aug 1852 in NYS;
parents b. NYS), who had had 1 child, no longer alive; granddaughter, Eva
Perkins, age 8 (b. Sep 1891 in NYS; parents b. NYS); and boarder, Benjamin
Perkins, age 77 (b. May 1823 in England; parents b. England), single, and
employed as a day laborer, who immigrated to the US in 1850 and subsequently
became a naturalized citizen.
William H. Perkins married Alice J. (?) (b. abt 1853 in NYS).
They had 1 child, Charles Edward Perkins, who died before 1910.
