PA) and employed as foreman for a farm implements manufacturer, was heading a household at 624 Erie Avenue in the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife of 25 years, Mary Rambo, age 46 (b. PA; parents b. PA), who had had 4 children, all still alive; son, Walter S. Rambo, age 23 (b. PA), single, and a student in college studying civil engineering; son, Wilfred S. Rambo, age 20 (b. PA), single, and employed as an art glass worker for a memorial window contractor; son, Clarence Rambo, age 17 (b. PA), single, and as an apprentice blacksmith for a wheelwright; son, Elmer Rambo, age 13 (b. PA); boarder, Ross Marry, age 24 (b. PA), single, and employed as ; and boarder, Dane Sweare, age 19 (b. Born 22/30 April 1888 in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania (also seen: b. Oxford, PA).  Died 13 February 1936, age 47 at Rock Island, Rock Island County, Illinois; interred 18 March 1936 in Philadelphia Cemetery, Philadelphia.  Employed as a civil engineer.

 

1920 US Census: Walter S. Rambo, age 32 (b. PA; parents b. PA) and employed as a civil engineer for the US Government, was heading a household at 227 Emerson Street in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife, Bertha M. Rambo, age 30 (b. PA).

 

1930 US Census: Walter S. Rambo, age 42 (b. PA; parents b. PA) and employed as a civil engineer for the railroad, was heading a household at 308 East 21st Street in the City of Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.  His residence was valued at $7,500 and he married 1st at age 27.  The household also included his wife, Bertha M. Rambo, age 40 (b. PA; parents b. PA), who married 1st at age 26; son Robert S. Rambo, age 9 (b. PA); daughter, Marjorie Rambo, age 5 (b. PA); and mother-in-law, Mary A. MacNeal, age 68 (b. PA; father b. MD; mother b. PA) and married, who was married 1st at age 22.
