Searl Eugene Richards
may have had children with an unidentified woman while he was stationed in France
in the early 1950s; there may also have been an illegal marriage to that woman
(this verbally conveyed by Ann (Gates)(Richards) Drake to her daughter, Sue,
just before Ann died). When Searl
returned to the US he separated from Ann and his children and proceeded to his
next duty assignment in Colorado. The
marriage between Searl and Ann was annulled 17 May 1956.
