1905 NYS Census: John Robins, age 22 (b. Canada), resided in the household headed by Charles Dikeman, age 48 (b. 1918 WWI Draft Registration: John Robins, age 35 (b. 12 Jun 1883) and employed as Assistant Plant Foreman for Electro Carbon Company, Buffalo Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls, resided at 526 23rd Street in the City of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York.

 

1920 US Census: John Robins, age 36 (b. English-speaking Canada; parents b. English-speaking Canada) and employed as a laborer in the electric carbon industry, was heading a household at 526 23rd Street in Niagara Township, Niagara County, New York.  He immigrated to the US in 1900 and became a naturalized citizen in 1918.  The household also included his wife, Corra Robins, age 36 (b. NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. English-speaking Canada); son, Harold Robins, age 5 (b. NYS); and grandmother-in-law, Mary Dikeman, age 91 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and widowed.

 

1930 US Census: John Robins, age 46 (b. English-speaking Canada; parents b. English-speaking Canada) and employed as a laborer in the aluminum industry, was heading a household at 526 23rd Street in the City of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York.  He immigrated to the US in 1901, was subsequently naturalized, and married 1st at age 20.  The household also included his wife, Cora Robins, age 46 (b. NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. English-speaking Canada), who married 1st at age 20; son, Harold Robins, age 15 (b. NYS); son, Maurice Robins, age 5 (b. NYS); and boarder, Elizabeth Jones, age 61 (b. English-speaking Canada; parents b. English-speaking Canada) and widowed, who was not employed outside the home.

 

1940 US Census: John Robins, age 56 (b. Canada) and employed as a janitor for an aluminum company, was heading a household at 526 23rd Street in Niagara Falls Township, Niagara County, New York.  He was a naturalized citizen, and he had completed 5th grade.  The household also included his wife, Cora Robins, age 56 (b. NYS); son, Harold Robins, age 25 (b. NYS), single, and employed as an electrician's helper in an aluminum plant, who had completed 3  years of high school; and son, Maurice Robins, age 15 (b. NYS) and single, who had completed 6th grade.  On 1 April 1935 they resided in the same house.

 

1950 US Census: John Robbins, age 66 (b. Canada), with no record of employment, was heading a household at 526 23rd Street in Niagara Falls Township, Niagara County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Cora M. Robbins, age 66 (b. NYS); and son, Harold E. Robins, age 35 (b. NYS), married, and employed as an electrician for a chemical plant.

Born 19 October 1883 in the City of Buffalo, Erie County, New York; daughter of Charles Eugene and Lura Malvina (Moore) Dikeman, and granddaughter of William S. and Mary Elizabeth (Hart) Dikeman (b. abt 1829 in NYS).  Died 18 October 1970; interred with John.  Married John Robins on 11 November 1903.

Born 27 March 1925 in Niagara Falls Township, Niagara County, New York.  Died 30 May 2022; interred Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston Township, Niagara County, New York.  Veteran of World War II; enlisted 15 June 1943; discharged 24 January 1946.  Resided last at Youngstown, Niagara County, New York.  On 28 October 1953 Angelo DeMunda conveyed to Maurice Edward Robins and others the property at S. L. 5,4, Block "B", 73rd St fmly, Atlantic Avenue in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York.

 

1950 US Census: Maurice Robins, age 25 (b. NYS) and employed as pipe fitter helper in the chemical industry, was heading a household at 13619 Michigan Avenue in Niagara Falls Township, Niagara County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Mary Robins, age 23 (b. NYS); son, Alan Robins, age 4 (b. FL); son, Gene Robins, age 2 (b. NYS); and son, Brian Robins, age 1 (b. NYS).
