Born 5 October 1753 at Abington. Served in the Revolutionary War from Easton, Massachusetts. In 1790 resided with his wife, 3 sons and 2 daughters at Chesterfield, Massachusetts, where he was a Baptist Minister. With several from his parish moved to Ellicottville, Cattaraugus County, New York. In 1818 resided at Sweden, Genesee County, New York when he applied for his military pension. Interred Rochester, New York.
