1. Biographical notes:

 

Born .  Died 9 January 1959.  Was a rural mail carrier at Redwood, New York until 1938, then moved to Evans Mills, New York, where he continued to be a mail carrier until his death (21 miles).

 

2. Wife: Veronica Jerome

 

Born 31 May 1903 at Redwood, New York, daughter of Frank and Edna (House) Jerome of Redwood, then Evans Mills.  Died 17 May 1964, age 60, from complications of a coronary occlusion at a relative’s residence at Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Pronounced dead at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg.  Interred St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evans Mills, Jefferson County, New York.  Of interest, Veronica also had a sister, Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Newman of Adams, New York.

 

Veronica graduated from Evans Mills High School and married Garrett West of Plessis, New York on 17 October 1920.  She was employed as a cafeteria manager by local school for 17 years (at Indian River Central School until her death in 1964).

a. Elizabeth West: See generation 4, below.

 

b. Virginia West: Married Glenn Watson, and resided on Church Street in Evans Mills, Jefferson County, New York.

 

c. Veronica West: (photos) (more info) Married Alfred Petrachuk, son of Mrs. Pauline Petrachuk, and resided at Evans Mills, Jefferson County, New York.  Alfred was a rural mail carrier at Evans Mills.  He and Veronica had the following children:

d. Marcella West: Married Leo Lawler and resided at Evans Mills, Jefferson County, New York.  Perhaps had children (photos).

 

e. Robert West: Died 1957.  Married Helen (?) and resided at Evans Mills, Jefferson County, New York.

Born .  Died .  Married Harlow "Hap" Clifton Riordan, paragraph 3.e. of generation 4 of the Riordan Annex.
