Elias married Weltha/Welthy (?) (b. abt 1801, d. 1863, age 62 yrs, 1 mo., 21 days, interred with Elias)  and had the following children:

 

a. Priscilla Woodward: Born about 1831 in New York.

 

b. Orville P. Woodward: Born about 1834 in New York.

 

c. Amelia Woodward: Born about 1838 in New York.

 

d. Eugene Woodward: Born about 1840 in New York.

 

e. Clifford Woodward: Born about 1844 in New York.

 

9. Orville Woodward: Born about 1850 in New York.  Employed as a farmer.

 

1870 US Census: Orville Woodward, age 20 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading in the household headed by Chamson Gisson/Gibson, age 42 (b. NYS).  The household also included Orville's wife, Lucy Woodward [and perhaps Chamson's daughter], age 25 (b. NYS) and Orville's daughter, Ella Woodward, age 1 (b. NYS).

 

Orville married Lucy (?) and had the following daughter:

 

a. Ella Woodward: Born about 1869 in New York.

 

10. Caleb Woodward: Scotch ancestry.  Early settler of Duchess County, New York.  Married (?) and had the following son:

 

a. Caleb Woodward: Died, age 91, in Canada.  Veteran of the American Revolutionary War; served in the grade of Captain.  In 1803 moved from Warren Township, Herkimer County, New York to Rodman Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Purchased a 300-acre farm on Dry Hill.  Married (?) and had 2 sons and 9 daughters, including:

 

(1. Jesse Woodward: Born 1783 in Oblong Township, Duchess County, New York.

(4. Milton Woodward: Born 1789 in Oblong Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Veteran of the War of 1812.  Married Hannah Webb in 1816 and settled in Adams Township (1.5 miles north of Adams Center), Jefferson County, New York and had the following children:

 

(a. Marquis Woodward: In 1845 moved from Adams Township, Jefferson County, New York to Van Buren County, Michigan.  Married Eliza A. Taylor, daughter of Daniel Taylor of Litchfield County, Connecticut, in 1847 in Michigan.  In 1865 returned to Jefferson County, New York, settling first in Henderson Township, and then in Rodman Township.  Marquis and Eliza had the following children:

 

(1) Leonora A. Woodward.

 

(2) Oren M. Woodward: Married Mellie E. Gage, daughter of C. S. and Mary (Smith) Gage of Rodman Township, Jefferson County, New York (moved there in 1833 from Monkton, VT), in 1871 and had the following children:

 

(a) Charles G. Woodward: Born 1874.

 

(b) Rollin O. Woodward: Born 1879.

 

(3) Fremont M. Woodward.

 

(4) Carrie A. Woodward: Married Samuel Parker.

 

(b. Oliva Woodward: Married Charles Hall.

 

(c. Constant Woodward: Married Mary Stickney.

 

(d. Egiva Woodward: Married Eleazaer Williams.

 

(e. Minerva Woodward: Married Henry Gordinere.

 

(f. Juliett Woodward: Married J. Weaber.
