2. Martin Broomall and Frances Lee (Kennedy) Biles.

Purpose: To update and expand on Shaking the Family Tree, authored by Marian Elizabeth Biles and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (Biles) Watt in 1997, which focused on a branch of the Biles family that settled in Wyalusing Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania in the early 1800’s. That includes providing as much visibility as possible on the many other, equally important (affiliated) families who have joined with those ancestors to create subsequent generations.

* Note: The father-son relationship shown here between John Biles (generation 5) and Henry Biles (generation 6) is not proven. However, it appears highly likely given (1) they both lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania at the same time, when Biles/Byles families in that region were few, and (2) Henry’s son, Alexander Patterson Biles, verbally related to his children that his (Alexander’s) grandfather was named John Biles.
