Born 1 January 1857 at Harrisburg, Lewis County, New York. Died 31 March 1938 at Antwerp, Jefferson County, New York.

Owned a “hunting camp” deep in the woods of McDonough Township, Chenango County, New York. The camp was relatively large (about 5 bedrooms), had no indoor plumbing, was heated by wood-burning pot-bellied stoves, and everything was cooked on a huge wood stove. Henry’s extended family would gather there over every Thanksgiving school break to hunt for deer.
