1. Biographical notes:

 

Born 1805.  Emigrated to America from Holland with his brothers?

 

2. Wife:  Lucia Evarts/Sarah Mary Evarts of Vermont

 

3. Children:

 

a. Harvey W. Barnes: Born 1836.  Member of Company H, 20th New York Heavy Artillery during the Civil War.  Died unmarried in November 1864 and was interred in Lake School Road Cemetery, Wilna Township (now on Fort Drum property), New York.

 

b. Willard Barnes: Died 1873.  Was an attorney.  Married Lucios Torin.

 

c. Homer Barnes: Died 1885 near Detroit, Michigan.

 

Of interest:  A Homer A. Barnes (d. 18 Apr 1885, age 37) was interred in Lake School Road Cemetery, Wilna Township (now on Fort Drum), Jefferson County, New York.

3   Lucia Barnes:

 

Born 25 April 1839.  Married Warren Van Allen, generation 3 of the Van Allen Annex.
