County, Connecticut. Died 31 January 1855 in
Washington Township, Litchfield County, Connecticut. Served in the Revolutionary
War in New England.
2. Wife: Marcy Farnham (also seen: Mary Mitchell)
Marcy Farnham was born in
New England and died in Genesee County, New York. Mary Mitchell married Elijah Barnes on 26
September 1854 in Rutherford Township, Gibson County, Tennessee.

(sp) Corners, Washington Township, Litchfield County,
Connecticut. Died 11/13 March 1871 in
Rome Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
2. Wife: Sally Goff
Born 7 November 1787 in Norfolk
Township, Litchfield County, Connecticut; daughter of Samuel Darby (b. 9 Apr 1766 in CT) and Dorothy (Hill) Goff (b. 30 Jun
1768 in CT, d. 1823 in PA). Died 5 April 1841 in Rome
Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
Married Sylvester Barnes on 25 October 1807 in
Salisbury Township, Litchfield County, Connecticut.

a. Samuel Lewis Barnes: Born 17 November 1810 in
Sheffield Township, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Died 6 January 1888 in
Orwell Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
b. Sally Maria Barnes: Born 19 September 1812 in
Sheffield Township, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Died 14 August 1842 in Rome
Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
c. Elijah Farnham Barnes:
Born 25 July 1815 in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Died 7 June 1885 in Rome
Township, Bradford County.
d. Harriett Madaline
Barnes: Born 16 October 1817 in Pennsylvania.

e. Ridgeway Sylvester Barnes: Born 2 August 1819 in
Rome Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
Died there 9 December 1881.

Born 9 June 1825 in Rome Township (also seen: b. Wysox Twp), Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Died 4 August 1891 at
Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. Owned a residence next door
to Leland Barns on the Wyalusing Creek Road. Subsequently moved to North
Carolina.
2. Wife: Esther Verbeck
Born 25 October 1834 in Nichols Township, Tioga
County, New York; daughter of Henry
Philip and Sarah H. (Bidlack)
Verbeck. Died 11 August 1882 (also seen: d. 22 Apr
1911) at Camptown, Wyalusing Township, Bradford
County, Pennsylania.
Married Edwin Burr Barnes on 4/24 November 1852 in Rome Township,
Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Esther
was an aunt to the Mary Verbeck who married William
Wallace French (who was the brother of Jennie French (Wagner) Delany, and
brother of Kate McKernan.

a. Lois Estella Barnes: Born 14 July 1855 at Camptown, Wyalusing Township, Bradford County,
Pennsylvania. Died 20
January 1857 in Rome Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

15 January 1944 at Wyalusing, Wyalusing Township. Apparently changed the
spelling of his surname. Married Caltha Elizabeth Camp,
third child of Betsey Elizabeth (Biles) Camp,
who was the fourteenth child of Alexander
Patterson Biles, generation 7 of the
Ancestors of John Addison Biles, on 7 July 1887.
