Born about 1553 in England.

a. Jonathan Bliss: Died 1636 in prison in Exeter,
England.
b. Elizabeth Bliss: Married John Calcliffe.
c. Mary Bliss: Died young.
d. George Bliss: Emigrated to America and died 31
August 1667 at Newport, Rhode Island.

1. Biographical notes:
Born about 1590 at Rodborough, Gloucester, England. Died 14 February 1650/51 at Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. Arrived at Hartford in 1635 and was one of
its original land owners.
2. Wife: Margaret Hulings
Born 1594 at Rodborough,
Gloucester, England, daughter of John (b. 1565 in England) and Margaret
(Lawrence) Hulings (b. 1557 in England). Died 28 August 1684 at Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts. Married Thomas Bliss, Jr.
on 18 October 1621 at Gloucester, St. Nicholas, England.

Born December 1622 at Rodborough, Gloucester, England. Baptized there 28 December 1622. Died 8 November 1654 at
Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.
2. Wife: Catherine Chapin
Born 6 May 1630 at Berry Pomeroy, Devon County,
England, daughter of Deacon Samuel (b. 8 Oct 1598 at Paignton,
Devon Co., England,) and Cicely (Penny) Chapin (b. 27 Feb 1600/01 at Paignton, Devon Co., England, m. 9 Feb 1622/3 at Paignton, d. 8 Feb 1682/3 at Springfield, Hampden Co.,
MA). Catherine Chapin died 4 February
1711/12 at Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. Immigrated to Roxbury,
Massachusetts with her parents in 1635.
Married Nathaniel Bliss on 20 November 1646 at
Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts. Also married Thomas Gilbert
and Samuel Marshfield.
Cicely (Penny) Chapin was the daughter of Henry (b.
about 1570 in England, d. 6 Apr 1630 at Paignton,
Devon Co., England) and Jane (?) Penny (b. about 1580 in
England, m. before 1600 in England, d. England).

Hampden County, Massachusetts.

Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts.

Holcomb, generation 6 of the Holcombe Annex.
