Born 18 March 1827 at Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.  Died 10 January 1887 (took his own life by swallowing an insecticide) at Petersburg, Monroe County, Michigan; interred there in Pleasant View Cemetery.  Immigrated with his wife to the US, arriving at New York City on 10 February 1854.

 

2. Wife: Amelia Heinsman/Hauten

 

Born 15  July 1895 at Baden-Baden, Germany.  Died 3 April 1983 in Riga Township, Lenawee County, Michigan.  Married 4 February 1855 in Riga Township, Lenawee County, Michigan.  Married Peter Breitner on 4 February 1855 in Germany.

Isbell (b. 15 Dec 1854 in MI, d. 14 Mar 1915/16 in Monroe Co., MI; interred Whiteford Union Cem., Lambertville, Monroe Co., MI), daughter of Myron H. Isbell, on 10 January 1911.  Married (2nd) Emma Green (d. 3 Jun 1930) on 27 July 1920.

Born 9 August 1865 in Riga Township, Lenawee County, Michigan.  Died 7 April 1943 in Petersburg Township, Monroe County, Michigan; interred there in Pleasant View Cemetery.

 

2. Wife: Hulda Albright

 

Born 10 September 1869 in Ida Township, Monroe County, Michigan; daughter of Charles G. and Wilhelmina "Minnie (Maas) Albright.  Died 4 November 1947 at Carleton, Monroe County, Michigan; interred with Martin.  Married Martin Breitner on 22 December 1887 in Bedford Township, Michigan.

Breitner: Born 14 September 1900 at Petersburg, Monroe County, Michigan.  Died 4 January 1963 at Dundee, Monroe County, Michigan; interred Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg.  Married (1st) Beatrice Mae Norris (b. 26 Apr 1904, d. 14 Oct 1927; interred with Roy), daughter of William Franklin and Minnie Bell (Casner) Norris, on 28 March 1923 in Monroe County, Michigan and had children.  Married (2nd), as her 1st husband, Nora Arnette (b. 25 Apr 1905, d. 14 May 1985), daughter of Elbert and Susan (Risner) Arnett, and had children.

 

f. Glenn Herbert Breitner: Born 31 October 1906 in Michigan.  Died 22 July 1907, age 8 months, from complications of pertussis (whooping cough) and pneumonia; interred with his parents in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Petersburg, Monroe County, Michigan.

Born 1895; daughter of Louie and Lucy (?) Seymour.  Died 1988; interred with Joseph.  Married Joseph Breitner on 22 June 1916 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.

a. Marjorie "Marge" E. Breitner: Born 8 February 1919.  Died 4 September 2003; interred Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundee, Monroe County, Michigan.  Married Joseph Y. McMullen (b. 11 Mar 1911, d. 13 Jun 1997; interred with Marjorie), son of Raynor and Edythe (Young) McMullen, on 19 August 1940.

 

b. Robert J. Breitner: Born 1920.  Died 2008; interred Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, Monroe County, Michigan.  Married Luella B. (Cummings) (b. 1920, d. 2000; interred with Robert) on 3 December 1941.

Jean Marie Breitner: Born 10 September 1926 at Carleton, Monroe County, Michigan.  Died 19 April 2018 at Naperville, DuPage County, Illinois; interred Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio.  Married (1st) James W. Donahue (b. 1 Jul 1922, d. 26 Apr 2001; interred with Jean) on 7 September 1946 at Carleton, Michigan.
