1.  Biographical notes:


Born 1603 at Raynham, Norfolk County, England.  Died between 25 May and 18 June 1667.  Was employed as a glover.  Emigrated to America in 1635 aboard the “Abigail.”

1.  Biographical notes:


Born 28 February 1638/39/40 at Boston, Massachusetts.  Baptized 1 March 1639/40 at First Church, Boston, Massachusetts.  Died 14 January 1692/3 at (?).  Was employed as a glover.

a. Biographical notes:


Died 26 June 1681 at (?).  Married John Buttolph on 16 October 1663 at Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.

1.  Biographical notes:


Born 7 May 1669.  Died 5 April 1717 (age 47) at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.  Was employed as a shoemaker and cordwainer.

Daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Churchill) Buck.  Probably married David Buttolph after 14 November 1694.

a. Martha Buttolph: Born 2 April 1694 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.  Died 25 January 1725/26.  Married Thomas Adams on 25 December 1712 at Simsbury.


b. Dr. Jonathan/John Buttolph: Born 2 June 1697 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Massachusetts.  Died June 1769 at Simsbury.  Married (1st) Martha Holcomb (b. 15 Mar 1701/2 at Simsbury, d. there 29 Jan 1724/5), daughter of Nathaniel and Martha (Buell) Holcomb, on 21 February 1723/24 at Simsbury.  Married (2nd) Elizabeth Cornish, daughter of James and Elizabeth (Thrall) Cornish, on 24 April 1729.  Married (3rd) Martha Loomis, daughter of William and Martha (Morley) Loomis, on 15 February 1758 at Simsbury.


c. Penelope Buttolph: Born 1 October 1699 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.  Died 27/29 June 1746.  Married Daniel Case (b. 7 Mar 1694/95 at Simsbury, d. there 28 May 1733), son of John, Jr. and Sarah (Holcomb) Case, on 7 May 1719 at Simsbury.


d. Silence Buttolph: Born 21 February 1700/1/2 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.  Married William Mather (b. 2 Mar 1697/98 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT), son of Atherton and Rebecca (Stoughton) Mather.

f. Mary Buttolph: Born February 1706.


g. David Buttolph, Jr.: Born 24 May 1709 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.  Died 20 February 1783 at Northeast, Dutchess County, New York.  Married Mary Holcomb (b. about 1710 at Simsbury, d. 10 Oct 1810 at Northeast), daughter of Nathaniel and Martha (Buell) Holcomb.


h. Hannah Buttolph: Born 20 February 1711 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.  Died 11 March 1765 at Dropsy, Granby Township, Hartford County, Connecticut.  Married Judah Holcomb (b. 12 Jan 1706/7 at Simsbury, d. 5 Jan 1802 at Granby), son of Nathaniel and Martha (Buell) Holcomb in September 1730 at Simsbury.


i. Temperance Buttolph: Born 12 July 1713.

Born 25 August 1704 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.  Died there 4 March 1767.  Married Lieutenant David Holcomb, generation 4 of the Holcombe Annex on 3 January/1 March 1722/21 at Simsbury.
