Born August 1839.  Died ; interred West Monroe Cemetery, New York.

 

1870 US Census: Chauncey Campbell, age 30 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Annsville Township (Taberg Post Office), Oneida County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Catharine Campbell, age 25 (b. Ireland); and daughter, Eliza Campbell, age 8 (b. NYS).

 

1880 US Census: Chauncey Campbell, age 40 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a laborer, was heading a household in Annsville Township, Oneida County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Catharine Campbell, age 35 (b. Ireland; parents b. Ireland); daughter, Eliza Campbell, age 18 (b. NYS); daughter, Louisa Campbell, age 7 (b. NYS); and daughter, Effa Campbell, age 7 months (b. Oct 1879 in NYS).

 

1900 US Census: Chancey Campbell, age 60 (b. Aug 1839 in NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Constantia Township, Oswego County, New York.  The household also included his wife of 39 years, Catherine Campbell, age 55 (b. Jan 1845 in Ireland; parents b. Ireland), who immigrated to the US in 1851 and who had had 3 children, all still alive.  Of interest, the household headed by Edward Hillar, age 25 (and his wife, Effie (Campbell) Hillar) was next door.  Also of interest, the household headed by William Danforth (father-in-law of Eliza (Campbell) Danforth, gen 3, below) and William's 2nd wife, Katherine, was very close by.

Born January 1845 in Ireland.  Died ; interred West Monroe Cemetery, New York.  Immigrated to the United States in 1851.

 

1850 US Census: James Boyle, age 45 (b. Ireland) and employed as a laborer, was heading a household in New York City.  The household also included Bridget Boyle, age 38 (b. Ireland); Marry Boyle, age 11 months (b. NYS); Michael Boyle, age 12 (b. Ireland); James Boyle, age 9 (b. NYS); and Catherine Boyle, age 5 (b. Ireland).

 

1860 US Census: James Boyle, age 40 (b. Ireland) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Annsville Township, Oneida County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Briget Boyle, age 35 (b. Ireland); daughter, Catherine Boyle, age 15 (b. Ireland); son Patrick Boyle, age 12 (b. Ireland); son, Henry Boyle, age 10 (b. NYS); and son, John Boyle, age 3 (b. NYS).

1880 US Census: Charles Hillier, age 30 [looks a lot like 80l (b. Canada; parents b. Ireland) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in West Monroe Township, Oswego County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Ellen Hillier, age 29 (b. NYS; parents b. Canada); son, Fred Hillier, age 8 (b. NYS); son, Edward Hillier, age 5 (b. NYS); and son, Terrance Hillier, age 6 months (b. NYS).

 

1892 US Census: Charles W. Hiller, age 42 (b. Canada) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in West Monroe Township, Oswego County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Ella A. Hiller, age 41 (b. US); Freddie T. Hiller, age 20 (b. US); Edward M. Hiller, age 17 (b. US); Clarissa E. Hiller, age 13 (b. US); Laura J. Hiller, age 10 (b. US); and Edith A. Hiller, age 7 (b. US).

 

1900 US Census: Edward Hillar, age 25 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in the western part of Constantia Township, Oswego County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Effie Hillar, age 21 (b. NYS).

 

1910 US Census: Eward Hillard, age 34 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Constantia Township, Oswego County, New York.  The household also included his wife of 10 years, Effie Hillard, age 30 (b. NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. Ireland), who had had 3 children, all still alive; daughter, Mildred A. Hillard, age 9 (b. NYS); daughter, Addie M. Hillard, age 8 (b. NYS); son, Harold C. Hillard, age 7 (b. NYS); and mother-in-law, Catherine Campbell, age 63 (b. Ireland; parents b. Ireland).

 

1920 US Census: Effie M. Hiller, age 40 (b. NYS; father b. NYS; mother b. Ireland), widowed, and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Constantia Township, Oswego County, New York.  The household also included her daughter, Addie M. Hiller, age 18 (b. NYS); son, Harold C. Hiller, age 17 (b. NYS); and daughter, Iola F. Hiller, age 6 (b. NYS).

 

Effie married Edward Merritt Hiller (b. 28 May 1875, d. before 1920; interred with Effie) (had Native American ancestry), son of Charles W. and Ella A. (?) Hiller, and had the following children: (order uncertain)

 

(1. Mildred A./Etta Hiller: (more info) Married, as his 2nd wife, Frank Lotzkoski (b. Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY) of Syracuse, son of Frank, Sr. and Eva (Kropp) Lotzkoski, both born in Germany, on 13 June 1925 in Oswego County, New York.

 

(2. Addie Mae Hiller: (more info) Married Frank Howard, son of Eugene and Cela (Shuffty) Howard, on 26 March 1921 in New York.

 

(3. Harold Chauncey Hiller: Born 21 November 1902.  Died 25 February 1968 from carbon monoxide poisoning (inadequate ventilation of a space heater); interred Walton Cemetery, New York.  Married Bernice Beers (b. 21 Mar 1909; d. 28 Oct 1990 in her sleep; interred Bainbridge, NY).

1940 US Census: Arnold Bennett, age 27 (b. NYS) and employed as a milk peddler for a dairy, was heading a household at 425 North Seneca Street in Village of Weedsport, Brutus Township, Cayuga County, New York.  He had completed 3 years of high school, and in April 1935 they resided at Central Square, Oswego County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Iola Bennett, age 27 (b. NYS), who had completed 8th grade; and daughter, Dianne Bennett, age 1 year and 6 months (b. NYS).

 

Iola Hiller married Arnold D. Bennett (b. 28 Mar 1913, d. 27 Mar 1991 in Cayuga Co., NY) and had the following children:

Campbell, age 41, was next door, and the household headed by Ira Campbell, age 28, was enumerated on the same Census page.

Oswego Co., NYS); daughter, Euphemia C. Campbell, age 3 (b. Oswego Co., NYS); and daughter, Sylva Campbell, age 6 (b. Oswego Co., NYS).  Of interest, the households headed by William B. 1905 NYS Census: Ira Campbell, age 78 (b. US) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Volvey Township, Oswego County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Susan Campbell, age 72 (b. US).
