2. Wife: Renewed Sweet
Born 1730 at Newport, Warwick County, Rhode Island,
daughter of James and Sarah (Stephenson) Sweet of Kent, Warwick County, Rhode
Island. Died 15 May 1810 at Aenia, Dutchess County, New York. Married Jonathan Card, Jr.
in 1748. Moved to Amenia about 1760, where he was considered a
"gentleman" and owned a 200-acre farm.

interred Fairview Cemetery, Route 2a, Sheltered Valley Road, 1.5 miles east of
Grafton, Ontario. Probably
met his wife while attending seminary near Boston. Was a Baptist minister. Moved to Herkimer County, New York, then
about 1804 to Denmark, Lewis County, New York, the about 1811 moved to Grafton,
Ontario, Canada, about 40 miles west of Belleville.

Williams (b. 9 Feb 1729, d. 26 Mar
1802) and his 2nd wife, Mary
Royce (b. 1748, d. 1793), an officer in
the "Minutemen" of Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts. Mary (Williams) Card died 1 July 1837 at
Grafton, Ontario, Canada. Married Peleg Card on 1 November 1790.
