Trenton Township, Fannin County, Texas; interred there in Burns Cemetery. Veteran of the American Civil War; served in
Company A of the 22nd Texas Cavalry Regiment.
Per his son-in-law, Mack Claude Watkins, William W. Chadwell did not
remember his birth mother, but loved his step-mother (Emmaline (Lavender)
Chadwell)) very much, as did others, because she was so good and kind, loving
her children and step-children equally.
