a Rudolph Cook heading a household in Manheim Township, Montgomery County, New
York. The household also included 4
males under age 10; 1 male age 45 or more; and 1 female age 26 to 45.
1810 US Census: There was
a Rudolph Cook heading a household in Palatine Township, Montgomery County, New
York. The household included 2 males
under age 10; 2 males age 10 to 16; 1 male age 16 to 26; 1 male age 45 or more;
1 female under age 10; 1 female age 10 to 16; 1 female age 16 to 26; and 1
female age 26 to 45.
1820 US Census: There was
a Rudolph C. Cook heading a household in Palatine Township, Montgomery County,
New York. The household included 1 male
age 10 to 16; 1 male age 16 to 18; 1 male age 16 to 26; 1 male age 45 or more;
1 female under age 10; 1 female age 10 to 16; and 1 female age 26 to 45. Two members of the household were engaged in

R. Cook, age 69 (b. Montgomery Co., NY) and employed as a blacksmith, was
heading a household in Cape Vincent Township, Jefferson County, New York. He and his family had resided in Cape Vincent
Township for 15 years [since abt 1840].
The household also included his wife, Catharine Cook, age 70 (b.
Montgomery Co., NY); son, Henry Cook, age 41 (b. Montgomery Co., NY) and
employed as a farmer; daughter, Adaline Cook, age 28
(b. Lewis Co., NY); son, Lysander Cook, age 26 (b. Lewis Co., NY) and employed
as a farmer; and Jacob Dorer, age 34 (b. France) and
employed as a laborer, who had resided in Cape Vincent Township for 3
years. His next door neighbor was his
son-in-law, Reuben Cool, age 28 (b. Montgomery Co., NY).
1865 NYS Census: Rudolph
R. Cook, age 77 (b. Montgomery Co., NY), widowed, and employed as a farmer, was
heading a household in Cape Vincent Township, Jefferson County, New York. His residence was valued at $300 and he had
been married once. The household also include
his daughter, Margaret Cook, age 53 (b. Montgomery Co., NY); son, Henry Cook,
age 51 (b. Montgomery Co., NY) and employed as a farmer; and daughter, Adeline
Cook, age 38 (b. Lewis Co., NY). Of
interest, the household headed by Reuben R. Cool, age 38, was enumerated on the
same census page.
1870 US Census: R. Cook,
age 82 (b. NYS), resided with his son, Henry Cook, age 54, in Cape Vincent
Township, Jefferson County, New York.

1870 US Census: Henry Cook, age 54 (b. NYS) and
employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Cape Vincent Township (Millens Bay post office), Jefferson County, New York. His real estate was valued at $5,000 and his
personal property was valued at $1,440.
The household also included his sister, Margaret Cook, age 56 (b. NYS)
and employed keeping house; R. Cook (male), age 82 (b. NYS) and retired; and M.
Cook (female), age 19 (b. NYS) and at home.
1875 NYS Census: Henry Cook, age 62 (b. Montgomery
Co., NY), married, and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Cape Vincent
Township, Jefferson County, New York.
His residence was valued at $500.
The household also included his sister, Margaret Cook, age 64 (b.
Montgomery Co., NY) and single.
