1850 US Census: No record found.

 

1860 US Census: Edwd Dailey, age 49 (b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in German Township (Archibald Post Office), Fulton County, Ohio.  His real estate was valued at $3,200 and his personal property was valued at $840.  The household also included his wife, Phoebe Dailey, age 48 (b. PA); daughter, Martha Dailey, age 19 (b. OH); son, Saml Dailey, age 17 (b. OH) and employed as a farmer; son, Henry Dailey, age 14 (b. OH); son, Wm Dailey, age 11 (b. OH); and son, John Dailey, age 7 (b. OH).  Of interest, the household headed by Saml D. Daily, age 40 (b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was enumerated close by on the same Census page.

 

1870 US Census: Edward Daley, age 59 (b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in the Village of Archbald, German Township, Fulton County,  Ohio.  His real estate was valued at $10,000 and his personal property was valued at $1,500.  The household also included his wife, Phoebe Daley, age 58 (b. PA); daughter, Martha Daley, age 30 (b. OH); son, William Daley, age 19 (b. OH); Charlotte Dailey, age 48 (b. PA) and employed as a domestic servant; and George Dailey, age 17 (b. OH) and employed as a Conv (sp) Laborer.

Born May 1847 in the City of Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio.  Died .

 

1870 US Census: Henry F. Dailey, age 23 (b. OH) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Springfield Township (Bryan Post Office), Williams County, Ohio.  His personal property was valued at $150.  The household also included his wife, Louisa Dailey, age 21 (b. PA); son, Emery Dailey, age 8 months (b. Oct 1869 in OH); and Henry Bingman, age 9 (b. PA).

 

1880 US Census: Henry F. Dailey, age 33 (b. OH; parents b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Orange Township, Noble County, Indiana.  The household also included his wife, Louisa Dailey, age 31 (b. PA; parents b. PA); son, Emory Dailey, age 9 (b. OH); daughter, Emma Dailey, age 7 (b. OH); daughter, Effa Dailey, age 5 (b. OH); daughter, Girdy Dailey, age 3 (b. OH); and son, Frank Dailey, age 4 months (b. IN).  Of interest, it appears the household headed by Leonard Beck, age 45 (b. OH; father b. PA; mother b. OH) and employed as a farmer, was under the same roof; it was not enumerated as a separate household.  That household also included Leonard's wife, Frances Beck, age 31 (b. MI; parents b. NYS); son, Arthur Beck, age 14 (b. IA; father b. OH; mother b. MI); daughter, Maude Beck, age 11 (b. IN; father b. OH; mother b. MI; son, Franklin Beck, age 5 (b. IN; father b. OH; mother b. PA), widowed, and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in the Village of Archbold, German Township, Fulton County, Ohio.  He had had 7 children, 6 of whom were still alive.  The household also included his son-in-law, William Myers, age 31 (b. Dec 1869 in OH, father b. Germany; mother b. OH) and employed as a farm laborer; daughter, Gurtie Myers, age 23 (b. May 1877 in OH; parents b. OH), who had been married 3 years and had 1 child, still alive; and daughter, Noba Myers, age 2 (b. Jun 1897 in OH; parents b. OH).

b. Emma Louise Dailey: Born 15 October 1872 in Springfield Township, Williams County, Ohio.  Died 9 August 1928 in Sylvania Township, Lucas County, Ohio; interred Ramson Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan.  Married August Mohr.

 

c. Effie Dailey: Born 17 November 1873 in Ohio.  Died 9 September 1905 in Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.  Married (?) Peugeot.

 

d. Gertrude "Girtie" Dailey: Born May 1877 in Ohio.  Married William Myers (b. Dec 1869 in OH) about 1896 and had the following daughter:

Born 6 June 1886 in the Village of Stryker, Williams County, Ohio (also seen: German, Fulton Co., OH).  Died 14 March 1948, age 61, in Ohio.

 

1910 US Census: James Dailey, age 24 (b. OH; parents b. IN) and employed as a motorman for the railroad, was heading a household in Sylvania Township, Lucas County, Ohio.  The household also included his wife of 2 years, Donna Dailey, age 24 (b. OH; parents b. OH), who had had no children.  It was the first marriage for both.

 

1920 US Census: James E. Dailey, age 33 (b. OH; father b. OH; mother b. PA) and employed as a motorman on the electric road, was heading a household at 1004 East Church Street in the City of Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan.  The household also included his wife, Donnah A. Dailey, age 34 (b. OH; parents b. OH); and son, Robert E. Dailey, age 5 years and 7 months (b. OH; parents b. OH).

 

1930 US Census: James E. Dailey, age 43 (b. OH; father b. IN; mother b. PA) and employed as a public school bus driver, was heading a household at 6728 Maplewood Avenue in the Village of Sylvania, Sylvania Township, Lucas County, Ohio.  He was married 1st at age 21, and his residence was valued at $9,000.  The household also included his wife, Donnah A. Dailey, age 44 (b. OH; parents b. OH), who was married 1st at age 23; son, Robert E. Dailey, age 15 (b. OH; parents b. OH); and lodger, Helen Schroeder, age 36 (b. IN; father b. PA; mother b. IN), single, and employed as a public school teacher.

Born ; daughter of Charles F. and Mary H. (Potter) Dewey.  Died .  Married James Earle Dailey on 15 April 1908 in Lucas County, Ohio.

Born 18 May 1914 in Ohio.  Died 3 May 1997, age 82, at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa County, Florida.  Married (1st) Mildred C. (?) and had children.  Married (2nd) Ruth Helen (Drake) Rowell descendant # 1 of generation 12 of the Descendants of George Edgar Drake on 20 December 1992 at Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa County, Florida.

 

1940 US Census: Robert Daly, age 26 (b. OH) and employed as proprietor of a retail gas station, was heading a household at 363 Holland-Sylvania Road in Sylvania Township, Lucas County, Ohio.  He had completed 4 years of high school and in April 1935 he resided in the City of Antigo, Langlade County, Wisconsin.  The household also included his wife, Mildred Daly, age 26 (b. WI), who had completed 2 years of high school and in April 1935 resided in the City of Antigo, Langlade County, Wisconsin.
