NH) and employed as a shoemaker, was heading a household at Northwood, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.  His real estate was valued at $300.  The household also included his wife, Nancy Danielson, age 65 (b. NH).  Of interest, the household headed by his son, Charles H. Danielson, age 43, was enumerated next door.

1850 US Census: Charles H. Danielson, age 43 (b. NH) and employed as a shoemaker, was heading a household at Northwood, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.  His real estate was valued at $300.  The household also included his wife, Matilda Danielson, age 24 (b. NH); son, Charles H. Danielson, age 20 (b. NH) and employed as a shoemaker; daughter, Hannah C. Danielson, age 18 (b. NH); daughter, Alice M. Danielson, age 16 (b. NH); son, Samuel Danielson, age 15 (b. NH) and employed as a shoemaker; and daughter, Caroline N. Danielson, age 10 (b. Born 1826 at Frankfort, Waldo County, Maine (also seen: b. NH (1850 Census)), daughter of Ephraim and Lucinda (Danielson) Grant.  Died 7 July 1881, age 55 years, 4 months, and 26 days; interred Fairview Cemetery, Northwood, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.  Married (1st), her uncle, Charles Danielson in 1847 and had the following daughter:

 

f. Sarah Danielson: Born 1853 at Northwood, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.  Died there 26 October 1854; interred there in Ebenezer Bennett Cemetery.

 

Widow Matilda (Grant) Danielson and William Henry Mead (b. 24 Aug 1820, d. 1 Aug 1874 in NH; interred Harvey Lake Cem., Northwood, Rockingham Co., NH) had the following daughter (apparently no marriage):

 

g. Etta (Mead) Bartlett: Born 1/2 October 1857 at Northwood, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.  Died there 23 September 1928; interred there in Fairview Cemetery.  Likely referred to as Etta Danielson at birth, since her mother's relationship with William Mead was not acknowledged until 1982, but at about age 5 Etta took the surname of her step-father, Phillip Bartlett.  Etta married (1st) Walter L. Swain.  Married (2nd) Alvah L. Yeaton in 1886.

 

Matilda A. (Grant) Danielson married (2nd) Phillip E. Bartlett (d. 28 Oct 1894) on 23 February 1862 at Epsom, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.

Born about 1836 in New Hampshire.  Died 1885 at Winterport, Waldo County, Maine; interred there in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

1860 US Census: Samuel J. Danielson, age 25 (b. NH) and employed as a cordwainer [makes shoes from new leather], was heading a household at Winterport, Waldo County, Maine.  His real estate was valued at $100, and his personal property was valued at $40.  The household also included his wife, Lucinda Danielson, age 23 (b. ME); daughter, Alice Danielson, age 5 (b. ME); son, Charles Danielson, age 3 (b. ME); son, Seldron Danielson, age 6 months (b. ME); brother-in-law, Garam P. Grant, age 27 (b. ME) and employed as a Far?; sister-in-law, Mary Grant, age 22 (b. NH); and nephew, Justin Grant, age 1 (b. MA).  Of interest, the household headed by Ephraim Grant, age 65, was enumerated next door (partially on previous census page), and there were other Grant surnames residing nearby.

 

1870 US Census: S. J. Danielson, age 34 (b. NH) and employed as keeping a confectionary store, was heading a household at Winterport, Waldo County, Maine.  His real estate was valued at $600, and his personal property was valued at $200.  The household also included his wife, Lucinda A. Danielson, age 33 (b. ME); uncle, John H. Danielson, age 67 (b. ME), with no occupation; daughter, Alice M. Danielson, age 15 (b. ME); son, George S. Danielson, age 10 (b. ME); daughter, Ella A. Lillianna "Lillie"/"Lillia"/"Ella" Augusta Danielson: Born June 1862 at Winterport, Waldo County, Maine.  Died there 1932; interred there in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Married, as his 2nd wife, Hubert Hall (b. 8 Aug 1862 at Winterport, Waldo Co., ME, d. there 12 Apr 1945; interred with Lillie), son of Nathaniel/Nathan E. and Mary S. (Perkins) Hall, on 3 July 1910 at Winterport, Maine.

 

e. Wilbert "Willie" S. Danielson: Born about 1866 at Winteport, Waldo County, Maine.  Died 1925; interred Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport, Waldo County, Maine.

i. Charles Edward Danielson: Born 23 February 1875 at Winterport, Waldo County, Maine.  Married (1st) Abbie Fickett (b. Feb 1876 at Brewer, Penobscot Co., ME, d. there 18 Apr 1907), daughter of William W. and Susanah/Susan S. (Lawn) Fickett, on 22 June 1895 in Maine.  At age 44 married (2nd), as her 2nd husband, Maud Eliza Olivier/Fortier (b. abt 1873 in ME, d. ), age 42, daughter of Fred and Nellie (Cole) Olivier, on 1 November 1919 (intent filed 25 Oct 1919) in Orono Township, Penobscot County, Maine.  Married (3rd), as her 2nd husband, Mildred L. Willett (b. Sep 1888 at Mt. Chase, Penobscot Co., ME, d. ), daughter of Joseph Uriah and Ellen Agnes (Royal) Willett, on 22 October 1938 in Maine.

1900 US Census: Percy Danielson, age 31 (b. Jul 1868 in ME; parents b. ME) and employed as a marine engineer, was heading a household at 26 Parker Street in the City of Brewer, Penobscot County, Maine.  The household also included his wife of 7 years, Emma E. Danielson, age 31 [should be 21] (b. Apr 1879 in ME; parents b. ME), who had had 2 children, both still alive; son, Carl Danielson, age 5 (b. Nov 1894 in ME); and son, Irving L. Danielson, age 1 (b. May 1899 in ME).

 

B. Wife: Emma E. Stanley

 

Born 18 April 1879 at South Brewer, Penobscot County, Maine; daughter of Edgar A. (b. 1835, d. 1904) and Cathrine "Katie" H. (Kent) Stanley (b. 1840, d. 1925).  Died 13 May 1949 at Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan; interred there.  At age 23 married Percy Danielson, age 24, on 11 August 1892 (intent filed 3 Aug 1892) at South Brewer, Penobscot County, Maine.

 

1880 US Census: Edgar A. Stanley, age 45 (b. ME; parents b. ME) and employed as a carriage maker, was heading a household at Brewer, Penobscot County, Maine.  The household also included his wife, Cathrine H. Stanley, age 40 (b. ME; parents b. ME); daughter, Nettie J. Stanley, age 19 (b. ME), single, and employed as a school teacher; son, Earnest A. Stanley, age 16 (b. ME), single, and employed as a clerk in a grocery store; daughter, Mary H. Stanley, age 14 (b. ME); daughter, Emma E. Stanley, age 11 (b. ME); son, Charles A. Stanley, age 2 (b. ME); and boarder, Dorinda Saunders, age 66 (b. ME; father b. ME; mother b. MA) and widowed.

 

1910 US Census: Emma E. Danielson, age 41 (b. MA; parents b. ME) and not employed, was heading a household at 107 West Neptune Street in the City of Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts.  She had been married once for 17 years and had had 4 children, 2 of whom were still alive.  The household also included her son, Carle R. Danielson, age 15 (b. ME) and single; son, Irvin L. Danielson, age 10 (b. ME); and boarder, Joseph W. Harriman, age 39 (b. ME; parents b. ME), single, and employed as a cobbler in the shoe industry.

 

1920 US Census: Emma E. Danielson, age 50 (b. ME; parents b. ME), married, and employed as an insulator in the electric appliance industry, was heading a household at 32 Houghton Street in the City of Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts.  The household also included lodger, Evelyn Horton, age 19 (b. MA; parents b. MA), single, and employed as an insulator in the electric appliance industry.

b. Carl R. Danielson: Twin (2nd child).  Born 17 November 1894 at Brewer, Penobscot County, Maine.  At age 19 married Mary E. Hamilton (b. Lynn, ME), age 19, daughter of Benjamin C. and Hattie (Mansfield) Hamilton, on 20 December 1913 at Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

 

c. Earl S. Danielson: Twin (3rd child).  Born 17 November 1894 at Brewer, Maine.  Died there 22 November 1895, age 1 year and 5 days, from complications of whooping cough; interred there in O. H. Cemetery.

Third child.  Born 20 May 1899 at Brewer, Penobscot County, Maine.  Died 18 October 1982 at San Diego, San Diego County, California; interred there in Greenwood Memorial Park.

 

1930 US Census: Irvin Danielson, age 30 (b. ME; parents b. ME) and employed as draftsman for a radio corporation, was heading a household at 13 Grant Street in Natick Township, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.  He married 1st at age 22.  The household also included his wife, Inez Danielson, age 28 (b. MA; parents b. MA), who married 1st at age 20; daughter, Lois Danielson, age 3 years and 8 months (b. OH); daughter, Betty Danielson, age 2 years and 1 month (b. MA); and roomer, Lucy Nichols, age 46 (b. MA; parents b. MA), single, and employed as an ironer for a foundry.

 

1940 US Census: Irven Danielson, age 40 (b. ME) and employed as a shop superintendant for an engineering company, was heading a household at 200 Josephine Street in the City of Flint, Genesee County, Michigan.  He had completed 4 years of high school.  The household also included his wife, Inez Danielson, age 38 (b. MA), who had completed 4 years of high school; daughter, Lois Danielson, age 13 (b. OH); daughter, Betty May Danielson, age 10 (b. MA); and son, Edward Danielson, age 8 (b. ME).  They resided in the same city on 1 April 1935.

Born 4 November 1901 in Massachusetts (also seen: b. CO); daughter of Harold and Ethel (Parsons) Horton.  Died 8 November 1988 at San Diego, San Diego County, California; interred with Irvin.
