NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Hopkinton Township, St. Lawrence County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Polly Drake, age 60 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS); and daughter, Dora Drake, age 11 (b. NYS; parents b. 1880 US Census: Alson Drake, age 35 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Hopkinton Township, St. Lawrence County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Betsy Drake, age 35 (b. NYS; parents b. Canada); and son, Howard Drake, age 9 (b. NYS).  Of interest, the household headed by Nathan Drake, age 22 and employed as a farmer, was enumerated immediately afterwards on the same census page.

NYS) and employed as a stone and brick mason, was heading a household at 9 Market Street in the Village of Potsdam, Potsdam Township, St. Lawrence County, New York.  He had been married once.  The household also included his wife of 19 years, Jennie Drake, age 49 (b. French-speaking Canada; father b. French-speaking Canada; mother b. NYS), who immigrated to the US in 1862, had been married once, and had had 2 children, both dead; and lodger, Frank Smith, age 22 (b. NYS; parents b. Partridge (b. 17 Oct 1897), age 16, daughter of Victor and Maude (Sonvelle) Partridge, on 9 August 1914 (license issued 5 Aug 1914) at Parishville, St. Lawrence County, New York and had the following son:

Harold Drake married Catherine E. Grush (more info) (b. 19 Jan 1919 at Potsdam, St. Lawrence Co., NY, d. Sat, 19/27 Mar 1999, age 80, in Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg; interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Rossie), daughter of Peter and Rose Anne/Rosanne (Miller) Grush, on 29 March 1943 in Rossie, St. Lawrence County, New York and resided on the family farm on the Rossie-Brazie Corners Road.  Harold and Catherine had the following children: (order uncertain)

Elroy "Ellery" Augustine Drake: Born 21 January 1887 at Granton, Clark County, Wisconsin.  Died 4 October 1934 in the Olympic Mountains, Jefferson County, Washington.  Married Alma Mary Nelson (b. 19 Jul 1891 at Artondale, Pierce Co., WA, d. 26 May 1962 at Bremerton, Kitsap Co., WA; interred there in Ivy Green Cem.), daughter of Alonzo Brown and Mary E. (Hartley) Nelson, on 23 December 1911 at Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington and had the following daughter:

1850 US Census: Perry Drake, age 19 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, resided in the household headed by Allen Lyman, age 55 (b. NH) and employed as a farmer, in Stockholm Township, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Of interest, the household headed by Prosper Drake, age 33 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was enumerated nearby on the same census page.

 

1860 US Census: Perry Drake, age 29 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer in Stockholm Township, St. Lawrence County, New York.  His real estate was valued at $2,500, and his personal property was valued at $1,765.  The household also included his wife, Maria Drake, age 21 (b. Canada); son, Rollin L. Drake, age 1 (b. NYS); perhaps father, Joseph Drake, age 69 (b. VT); and perhaps mother, Louise Drake, age 55 (b. VT).

 

Perry Drake married Maria (?) and had at least the following son:

 

(1. Rollin L. Drake: Born about 1859 in New York.
