Finnegan, age 40 (b. Jan 1860 in NYS; parents b. Ireland), who had had 5 children, 3 of whom were still alive; son, Henry R. Finnegan, age 16 (b. Feb 1884 in NYS; parents b. 1918 WWI Draft Registration: Harry Richard Finnegan, age 34 (b. 28 Feb 1884) and employed as a clerk for the Curtis Aeroplane and Motor Corporation, resided at 261 Bird Avenue, Buffalo, Erie County, New York.  He named his wife, Helen Finnegan of the same address, as his nearest relative.

 

1920 US Census: Harry R. Finnegan, age 36 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a foreman in the auto parts industry, was heading a household at 96 Barlum Avenue in the City of Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.  The household also included his wife, Helen Finnegan, age 31 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS); and son, Harry R. Finnegan, Jr., age 6 months (b. NYS).

 

1925 NYS Census: Harey Finnegan, age 41, was heading a household at RFD Tonawanda, Erie County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Helen Finnegan, age 27; son, Richard Finnegan, age 5; son, George Finnegan, age 4; and son, Donald Finnegan, age 1. (pg 26)

 

1930 US Census: Harry R. Finnegan, age 46 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a waiter in a hotel, was heading a household at 54 Erie Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York.  He married 1st at age 33.  The household also included his wife, Ellen L. Finnegan, age 31 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a waitress in a hotel, who married 1st at age 19; son, Richard H. Finnegan, age 10 (b. NYS); son, George J. Finnegan, age 9 (b. NYS); son, Donald I./P. Finnegan, age 5 (b. NYS); and daughter, Betty L. Finnegan, age 2 years and 11 months (b. NYS).

 

1940 US Census: Harry R. Finnegan, age 56 (b. NYS), widowed, and employed as a waitor in a restaurant, was heading a household at 729 Monteagle Street in the City of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York.  He had completed 4 years of high school.  The household also included his son, Richard Finnegan, age 20 (b. NYS), single, and employed as a laborer in the abrasive industry, who had completed 4 years of high school; son, George Finnegan, age 19 (b. Street in the City of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York.  He immigrated to the US in 1921 and had become a naturalized citizen.  The household also included his wife, Marion Pearson, age 32 (b. Scotland; father b. Scotland; mother b. English-speaking Canada) and employed as a saleslady in a retail grocery, who immigrated to the US in 1921 (still an alien); son, Hebret G. Pearson, age 11 (b. Canada), who immigrated to the US in 1921 (still an alien); daughter, Marion J. Pearson, age 3 years and 6 months (b. NYS); and daughter, Anna C. Pearson, age 4 months (b. NYS).
