Born 23 April 1724 in Germany; daughter of Peter and Anna (Freund) Herr.  Died 13 April 1790 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.  Married (1st) Michael Glick on 19 March 1739.  Married (2nd) Johannes Glick on 28 April 1744.

Glick on 3 June 1875 in Jacksonville Township, Cherokee County, Texas.

Born 21 February 1885 in Jacksonville Township, Cherokee County, Texas.  Died 15/16 February 1954 at Compton, Los Angeles County, California.

 

1900 US Census: Vance Glick, age 15 (b. Feb 1885 in TX; parents b. TX), single, and employed as a laborer in a saw mill, was boarding in the household headed by Thomas M. Franklin, age 25 (b. Aug 1875 in TX) in Cherokee County, Texas.

 

1910 US Census: Vince Glick, age 25 (b. TX; father b. PA; mother b. TX) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Taylor Township, Cleveland County, Oklahoma.  He had been married once.  The household also included his wife of 5 years, Tenmi Glick, age 21 (b. OK; father b. KY; mother b. AR), who had been married once and had had 3 childen, all still alive; daughter, Violet Glick, age 4 (b. OK); son, John E. Glick, age 2 (b. OK); daughter, Kathy Glick, age 3 months (b. OK); grandfather, Abram W. Houser, age 65 (b. IN; father b. OH; mother b. KY), widowed, and employed as a farmer; and Uncle, Fred Shaffer, age 42 (b. MI; father b. Germany; mother b. MD), widowed, and employed as a farmer.

 

1918 WWI Draft Registration: Robert Vance Glick, age 33 (b. 21 Feb 1885) and employed as a farmer, resided at Route 2, Carthage, Panola County, Texas.  He named his wife, Tennie Glick, same address, as his nearest relative.

 

1920 US Census: Vance Glick, age 35 (b. TX; father b. PA; mother b. TX) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Cove Township, Polk County, Arkansas.  The household also included his wife, Tennie Glick, age 30 (b. OK); daughter, Violet E. Glick, age 13 (b. OK; father b. KY; mother b. AR); son, Emmett Glick, age 12 (b. OK); daughter, Ruthie Glick, age 9 (b. OK); and son, Robert Glick, age 7 (b. OK).

 

1930 US Census: Vance R. Glick, age 45 (b. TX; father b. Germany; mother b. TX) and employed in the saw mill industry, was heading a household on DeKalb and Spring Hill Road in Bowie County, Texas.  He married 1st at age 20.  The household also included his wife, Tenny W. Glick, age 41 (b. OK; father b. KY; mother b. US), who married 1st at age 16; son, Milton E. Glick, age 9 (b. AR); son, Robt L. Glick, age 17 (b. OK) and employed in the saw mill industry, who married 1st at age 17; and daughter-in-law, Ethel Glick, age 18 (b. TX), who married 1st at age 18.

 

1940 US Census: Robert V. Glick, age 55 (b. TX) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household on Highway 85 in Barcelona Township, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.  He had completed 8th grade.  The household also included his wife, Jennie Glick, age 48 (b. OK), who had completed 8th grade; son, Milton E. Glick, age 19 (b. OK), single, and employed as a farm laborer, who had completed 1 year of high school; and grandson, Fred A. McDaniel, age 18 (b. AR), single, and employed as a laborer in a CCC [Civilian Conservation Corps] camp, who had completed 7th grade.  All but Fred resided in the same house on 1 April 1935.  At that time Fred resided in Cove Township, Polk County, Arkansas.

Born 3 August 1890 in Indian Territory (later OK).  Died December 1982; interred Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Sacramento, California.  Married Vance Glick on 6 May 1905 in Cherokee County, Texas.

(1. Fred A. Daniel: Born 19 February 1922 in Cove Township, Polk County, Arkansas.  Died November 1981.

 

(2. Richard Emmett Daniel: Born 15 December 1924 in Cove Township, Polk County, Arkansas.  Died 13 November 1964.

 

(3. Patsy Ruth Daniel: Born 6 January 1932 in Cove Township, Polk County, Arkansas.  Died 2003 at Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma.

1940 US Census: John E. Glick, age 32 (b. OK) and employed as a self-employed painter, was heading a household at Pajarito, Bernalillo County, New Mexico.  He had completed 2 years of high school, and his residence was valued at $200.  The household also included his wife, Betty Ethel Glick, age 32 (b. AR), who had completed 8th grade; daughter, Gerldine Glick, age 10 (b. AR); son, Kenneth Glick, age 7 (b. NM); son, Wesley W. Glick, age 4 (b. NM); and son, Joyce F. Glick, age 15 months (b. NM).  They resided in the same township on 1 April 1935.
