Born 28 January 1745 in Scotland.  Died about 1808 in Giles County, Tennessee; immigrated to America in 1750.

 

2. Wife: Barbara Cameron

 

Born 25 January 1730 at Petty, Inverness, Scotland.  Died by 1790 in North Carolina.

 

3. Children: (order uncertain)

 

a. Ezander Gordon: Killed by Indians, perhaps in Kentucky.

 

b. Robert D. Gordon: See generation 1a, below.

 

c. Samuel Gordon: Married Rachel Herron (b. 10 Jan 1817, d. 1856 in AL)

 

d. David Gordon.

 

e. Elizabeth Gordon: Married Ambrose Ross, brother of Hugh Ross (who married Mary Kennedy, daughter of James Kennedy, I) and Agnes Ross (who married Gen Thomas Kennedy, son of John Kennedy, Sr.).

1a  Robert D. Gordon:

 

Born 14 February 1763 in Virginia.  Died 2 June 1847, age 85, in Giles County, Tennessee.  Married Mary "Molly" Kennedy (b. 6 Dec 1771 in NC, d. 30 May 1854 at Brick Church, Giles Co., TN), daughter of John Kennedy, Sr. (Para 3.a.(8. of gen 8), on 9 June 1791.

 

1b  Barbara Gordon:

 

Born about 1774 in North Carolina.  Died 6 November 1805 in Kentucky.  Married John Kennedy, paragraph 2.b.(2. of generation 7 of the Kennedy Annex, on 9 November 1790 in Garrard/Madison County, Kentucky.
