The household also included his wife of 12 years, Lilian Gornley, age 36 (b. Nov 1863 in NYS; father b. Ireland; mother b. Resided at 346 James Street in Carthage; owned and operated Gormley’s Liquor Store there from 1940 to 1967, when he retired.

1930 US Census: Leo F. Gormley, age 32 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a farm implement salesman, was heading a household at 317 South Clinton Street in the Village of Carthage, Wilna Township, Jefferson County, New York. He married 1st at age 24.
