NYS) and employed as foreman for a shirt factory, was heading a household at South Glens Falls, Moreau Township, Saratoga County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Daisy Haviland, age 36 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS); daughter, Hazel Haviland, age 16 (b. NYS) and single; and daughter, Edith Haviland, age 8 (b. NYS).

 

1920 US Census: (no enumeration date recorded) Arthur G. Haviland, age 38 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), married, and employed as foreman for a shirt manufacturer, was lodging at the Y. M. C. A. on Steuben Street in the City of Albany, Albany County, New York.

 

1930 US Census: Gardner Haviland, age 48 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as assistant foreman for a shirt factory, was heading a household at 201 Main Street in the Village of South Glens Falls, Moreau Township, Saratoga County, New York.  He married 1st at age 20, and his residence was valued at $4,000.  The household also included his wife, Daisy M. Haviland, age 46 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who married 1st at age 18; and daughter, Edith H. Haviland, age 18 (b. NYS) and single.

 

1940 US Census: Arthur G. Haviland, age 58 (b. NYS) and employed as assistant foreman for a shirt factory, was heading a household at 201 Main Street in the Village of South Glens Falls, Moreau Township, Saratoga County, New York.  He had completed 3 years of high school, and his residence was valued at $2,500.  The household also included his wife, Daisy M. Haviland, age 56 (b. NYS), who had completed 3 years of high school.  On 1 April 1935 they resided in the same house.

 

Arthur Haviland married Daisy M. Everetts (b. 1883 in NYS, d. 17 Apr 1946 at South Glens Falls, Saratoga Co., NY), daughter of Alexander Everetts, on 17 December 1901 in Glens Falls Township, Warren County, New York (subsequently resided at South Glens Falls, Saratoga Co., NY) and had the following children:

 

(1. Hazel F. Haviland: Born about 1903 in New York.  Died 25 January 1983; interred Glens Falls Cemetery, Glens Falls, Warren County, New York.

 

1930 US Census: Duane Turney, age 30 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as an electrician in a mill, was heading a household at 8 Moon Street in the Village of Fort Edward, Fort Edward Township, Washington County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Hazel Turney, age 26 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who married 1st at age 19; daughter, Betty Turney, age 7 (b. NYS); son, Leon Turney, age 5 (b. NYS); and daughter, Margery Turney, age 11 months.  Of interest, the household headed by Samuel Turner, age 58, and Edward Turner, age 33, were enumerated before him on the same census page.

1950 US Census: Duaine Turner, age 50 (b. NYS) and unable to work, was heading a household at 9 Moon Street in Fort Edward Township, Washington County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Hazel Turner, age 47 (b. NYS); son, Leon Turner, age 25 (b. NYS), never married, and employed as a carpenter helper for the railroad; and son, Duaine Turner, Jr., age 15 (b. NYS) and in school.  

 

Hazel Haviland married Duane W. Turner (b. Apr 1899 in NYS, d. 20 Sep 1959 at Fort Edward, Washington Co., NY; interred with Hazel), son of Samuel D. and Lanetta (Edmunds) Turner, on 25 September 1922 at Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, New York and had the following children:

 

(a. Elizabeth "Betty" Lanita Turner: Born 29 Mar 1923 at South Glens Falls, Saratoga County, New York.  Died 14 June 2000.

 

(b. Leon H. Turner: Born 25 May 1924 at Glens Falls, Warren County, New York.  Died there 4 November 2018, age 94.

 

(c. Margery Anne Turner: Born 15 April 1929.  Died 19 November 2017; interred Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, Saratoga County, New York.  Married William Joseph Mondoux, Jr. (b. 5 Jun 1926 at Portsmouth, Rockingham Co., NH, d. 29 Dec 2018 at Saratoga Springs, Saratoga Co., NY; interred with Margery), son of William Joseph and Helen H. (?) Mondoux.

 

(d. Duane W. Turner, Jr.: Born 17 April 1934 at Glens Falls, Warren County, New York.  Died 28 August 2009 at Fort Edward, Washington County, New York.  Married Colette Vincent on 8 January 1956 and had at least the following son:

 

(1) Duane Maurice Turner: Born 24 September 1963 in The Bronx, New York City, New York.  Died 20 December 1963 in New York.

1940 US Census: Harold L. Turner, age 39 (b. NYS) and employed as a laborer in a paper mill, was heading a household at 6 Edward Street in the Village of Fort Edward, Fort Edward Township, Washington County, New York.  He had completed 7th grade, and his residence was valued at $1,200.  The household also included his wife, Edith H. Turner, age 29 (b. NYS), who had completed 2 years of high school; son, David G. Turner, age 2 (b. NYS); and father, Samuel D. Turner, age 68 (b. NYS), widowed, and employed as a blacksmith, who had completed 6th grade.  On 1 April 1935 they resided in the same house.

 

Edith Haviland married (1st) Harold L. Turner (b. 5 Feb 1901 at Fort Edward, Washington Co., NY, d. there 27 Aug 1953; interred with Edith), son of Samuel D. and Lanetta (Edmunds) Turner, on 22 December 1932 in Argyle Township, Washington County, New York and had at least the following son:

 

(a. David G. Turner: Born about 1938 in New York.

Haveland (age 10); son, Amos Haveland (age 9/7); son, Joseph Haveland (age 3); son, Byron Haveland (age 2 months); and Hannah Child (age 56, employed as a house keeper).  All were born in New York State.

 

Hiram Haviland married Eunice (?) (b. abt 1833) and had the following children:
