1850 US Census: Caleb Heth, age 40 (b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  His real estate was valued at $100.  The household also included his wife, Rhoda Heth, age 34 (b. PA); son, Darius Heth, age 14 (b. PA); son, Wm Heth, age 10 (b. PA); son, Reuben Heth, age 9 (b. PA); son, Joshua Heth, age 7 (b. PA); son, D. M. Heth, age 4 (b. [abt 1846] in PA); and daughter, Rowena Heth, age 1 (b. PA).

 

1860 US Census: Caleb Heath, age 49 (b. PA) and employed as a wagon maker, was heading a household in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  His real estate was valued at $600, and his personal property was valued at $300.  The household also included his wife, Rhoda Heath, age 47 (b. [abt 1856] in PA) [same as 1880; age appears to be 10 yrs low]; daughter, Jemima Heath, age 16 (b. PA); and daughter, Angeline Heath, age 10 (b. PA).

PA); daughter, Emma Heath, age 7 (b. PA); son, Henry A. Heath, age 5 (b. PA); daughter, Elizabeth Heath, age 4 (b. PA); and daughter, Milison Heath, age 1 (b. PA).  Of interest, the household headed by his father, Caleb Heath, age 60, was enumerated directly before him on the same census page.

 

1880 US Census: Dorcus Heath, age 43 (b. PA; father b. VT; mother b. PA) and employed as a wagon manufacturer, was heading a household in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  He suffered from bilious fever.  The household also included his wife, Sarah Heath, age 39 (b. PA; parents b. NYS); son, Henry Heath, age 15 (b. PA); daughter, Armilda Heath, age 12 (b. PA); daughter, Rhoda Heath, age 10 (b. PA), who had measles; daughter, Charlotte Heath, age 6 (b. PA); son, Frank Heath, age 5 (b. PA); son, Bertrand Heath, age 3 (b. PA); and daughter, Ida Heath, age 1 (b. PA), who had measles.

 

1900 US Census: Denas Heath, age 53 (b. Feb 1837 in PA; parents b. PA) and employed as a wagon maker, was heading a household in Wysox Township, Bradford County.  The household also included his wife of 19 years, Mary Heath, age 53 (b. PA; parents b. PA), who had had 7 children, 1 of whom was still alive.

 

1910 US Census: Dirius Heath, age 73 (b. PA; father b. VT; mother b. PA) and not employed, was heading a household on State Road in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  He had been married twice.  The household also included his wife of 28 years, Mara A. Heath, age 73 (b. PA; father b. Ireland; mother b. PA), who had been married twice and had had 7 children, 1 of whom was still alive; and step-son, James Heath, age 44 (b. PA; parents b. PA), single, and employed as a farmer.  Of interest, the households headed by Charles Heath, age 58, and David M. Heath, age 63, were enumerated immediately before and after him, respectively, on the same census page.

 

1920 US Census: Darius Heath, age 82 (b. PA; father b. MA; mother b. PA), widowed, and not employed, was heading a household in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his daughter, Emma Hawley, age 57 (b. PA), widowed, and not employed; and son, Frank Heath, age 45 (b. PA), single, and employed as a farm laborer working out.

 

Dorcas Heath married (1st) Sarah (?) (b. abt 1841 in PA) by about 1864 and had the following children:

PA), single, and employed as a farm laborer, was heading a single-person household in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Of interest, the household headed by David Heath, age 53, was enumerated directly before him, and the households headed by Denas Heath, age 53, and Charles Heath, age 42, were enumerated directly after him on the same census page.

 

1910 US Census: James Heath, age 44 (b. PA; parents b. PA), single, and employed as a farmer, resided in the household headed by his step-father, Dirius Heath, age 73, on State Road in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

 

b. William P. Heath: Born about 1841/40/43 in Pennsylvania.  Married (1st) (?); divorced about 1878.  At age 55 married (2nd), as her 2nd husband, widow Valetta (Matson) Green, age 49, daughter of Lyman and Martha/Lydia Ann (?) Matson, on 11 November 1896 at Herrickville, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Valetta's 1st husband died in July 1895.  Another record indicates William Heath divorced his 1st wife on 5 April 1897 and married Valetta Green on 17 July 1897 (license issued 15 Jul 1897) at Herrickville.

 

c. Reuben Heath: Born about 1843/41 in Pennsylvania.

Feb 1866 in PA; parents b. NYS), who had had 4 children, 3 of whom were still alive; son, Albert Heath, age 7 (b. Feb 1893 in PA); daughter, Bertha Heath, age 4 (b. Dec 1895 in PA); and son, Charles Heath, age 1 (b. Oct 1898 in PA).

PA) and employed as a laborer doing odd jobs, was heading a household on State Road in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  He had been married once.  The household also included his wife of 20 years, Manda Heath, age 43 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who had had 5 children, 4 of whom were still alive; son, Albert Heath, age 17 (b. PA), single, and employed as a laborer doing odd jobs; daughter, Bertha Heath, age 13 (b. PA); son, Charles Heath, age 11 (b. PA); and daughter, Mary Lavina Heath, age 9 (b. PA).  Of interest, the household headed by Dirius Heath, age 73, and David m. Heath, age 63, were enumerated directly after him on the same census page.

 

1920 US Census: Charles H. Heath, age 62 (b. PA; father b. MA; mother b. PA) and employed as a laborer working out, was heading a household in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife, Amanda Heath, age 53 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS); daughter, Bertha Heath, age 23 (b. PA), single, and not employed; son, Charles F. Heath, age 21 (b. PA), single, and employed as a farm laborer; and daughter, Mary Heath, age 18 (b. PA), single, and not employed.

 

At age 31 Charles Heath married Amanda Cynthia Tubbs (b. 16 Feb 1866 at Horseheads, Chemung Co., NY, d. 30 Dec 1953 at Towanda, Bradford Co., PA), age 23, daughter of Russell V. and Mary Debery (Kimble) Tubbs, on 11 February 1889 at Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania and had the following children:

 

(1. Albert Milo Heath: (photos) Born February 1893 in Pennsylvania.  At age 24 married Ruth Edmunds (b. abt 1899), age 18, daughter of William T. and Jane "Jennie" E. (Wardle) Edmunds, on 22 November 1917 in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

 

1920 US Census: Albert M. Heath, age 28 (b. PA) and employed as a railroad detective, resided in the household headed by his father-in-law, William Edmunds, age 48 (b. PA; parents b. Wales) in the City of Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included, among others, Albert's wife, Ruth Heath, age 19 (b. PA).

 

1930 US Census: Albert M. Heath, age 35 (b. PA) and employed as manager of an auto tire store, resided in the household headed by his father-in-law, William T. Edmunds, age 57 (b. PA; parents b. Wales) in the City of Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included Albert's wife, Ruth Heath, age 29 (b. PA); and William's wife, Jane I. Edmunds, age 51 (b. England; parents b. England).

 

(2. Bertha Heath: Born December 1895 in Pennsylvania.

 

(3. Charles Francis Heath: Born 17 October 1898 in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Died 1964 at Mercur, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Married, as her 2nd husband, divorcee Louisa Sophin (Crutchfield) Silversteen (b. 1903, d. 1986), daughter of Charles and Rebecka (Ackley) Whitmiller, on 9 June 1928 (license issued same day) at Waverly, Tioga County, New York.  Louise has married (1st) Martin Peter Silversteen (b. 6 Feb 1896 at Ostra Hoby, Skane, Sweden, d. 24 Aug 1961 at Towanda, Bradford Co., PA); divorced 26 March 1928.

At age 31 Charles Heath married Amanda Tubbs, age 23, daughter of Russell and Mary (?) Tubbs, on 11 February 1889 (license issued same day) in Towanda Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

Born 11 May 1847 in Pennsylvania.  Died 6 August 1912; interred Wysox Cemetery, Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

 

1870 US Census: Of possible interest, a David Heth, age 22 (b. PA), with no record of employment, resided in the household headed by Argills Grey, age 48 (b. PA) in Jay Township (Ridgway Post Office), Elk County, Pennsylvania (west of Bradford Co.).

 

1880 US Census: David Heath, age 33 (b. PA; father b. CT; mother b. PA) and employed as a laborer, was heading a household in Wysox, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife, Mary Heath, age 29 (b. PA; father b. CT; mother b. PA?); son, Walter Heath, age 7 (b. PA); daughter, Annie Heath, age 6 (b. PA); son, Fred Heath, age 4 (b. PA); daughter, Eva Heath, age 2 (b. PA); and daughter, Flora Heath, age 1 (b. PA).  Of interest, the household headed by his presumed father, Caleb Heath, age 70 (b. VT; father b. Canada; mother b. PA) and employed as a farmer, was enumerated after him on the same census page, and that household also included Caleb's son, David, age 24.  Of further interest, the household headed by Dorcus Heath, age 43 (b. PA; father b. VT; mother b. PA) and employed as a wagon maker, was also enumerated after David on the same census page.

 

Note: In both 1870 and 1880 apparently there was another David Heath (b. abt 1856) who was enumerated as a son in the households headed by David M. Heath's father, Caleb Heath in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  In 1880 both David's were enumerated close to each other on the same census page.  It's not clear who the 2nd (younger) David Heath was, or where David M. Heath (gen 2 of this Annex) resided in 1870.

 

1900 US Census: David Heath, age 53 (b. May 1847 in PA; father b. VT; mother b. PA) and employed as a wagon maker, was heading a household in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife of 28 years, Mary Heath, age 49 (b. Mar 1851 in PA; parents b. PA); daughter, Lovina Heath, age 22 (b. Mar 1888 [should be 1878] in PA); and son, Samuel Heath, age 19 (b. Jan 1881 in PA).

 

1910 US Census: David M. Heath, age 63 (b. PA; father b. CT; mother b. PA), widowed, and employed doing odd jobs, was heading a household in Wysox Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his son-in-law, James Foyle, age 37 (b. PA; father b. CT; mother b. Ireland) and employed doing odd jobs, who had been married once; daughter, Eva Foyle, age 31 (b. PA; parents b. PA), who had been married once and had had 2 children, both still alive; grandson, Lowie Foyle, age 14 (b. PA); and granddaughter, Theresa Foyle, age 9 (b. PA).  Of interest, the households headed by Charles Heath, age 58 (b. PA; father b. VT; mother b. PA) and Darius Heath, age 73 (b. PA; father b. VT; mother b. PA) were enumerated directly before him on the same census page.

1900 US Census: Samuel Kintner, age 23 (b. Dec 1876 in PA; parents b. PA) and employed as a wood borer, was heading a household in Towanda Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife of 2 years, Anna Kintner, age 25 (b. Sep 1874 in PA; parents b. PA), who had had 1 child, no longer alive; and brother-in-law, Fred Heath, age 23 (b. Jun 1876 in PA; parents b. PA), single, and employed as a day laborer.

 

1910 US Census: Samuel Kintner, age 33 (b. PA; parents b. PA) and employed as a laborer in a toy shop, was heading a household at 824 Main Street in the City of Towanda, Towanda Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  He had been married once.  The household also included his wife of 12 years, Annie V. Kintner, age 35 (b. PA; parents b. PA), who had been married once and had had 3 children, 1 of whom was still alive; son, Leo L. Kintner, age 7 (b. PA); and niece, Madys? M. Kintner, age 10 (b. PA).

 

1918 WWI Draft Registration: Samuel W. Kintner, age 42 (b. 23 Dec 1876) and employed as a farmer, resided with his wife, Anna Kintner, at RFD #4, Towanda Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

 

Anna Heath married Samuel W. Kintner (see Para 3.g of gen 2 of the Kintner Annex) (b. 23 Dec 1876 at Stroudsburg, Monroe Co., PA, d. 11 Feb 1969 at Towanda, Bradford Co., PA; interred Cole Cem., Monroeton, Bradford Co., PA) on 2 February 1898 (license issued same day) in Bradford County, Pennsylvania and had 3 children, including the following son:

 

(1. Leo L. Kintner: Born 1902.  Died 26 May 1964; interred Cole Cemetery, Monroeton, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Married Nellie (?).
