France) and employed as a laborer, was heading a household in New Bremen Township, Lewis County, New York.  His real estate was valued at $500.  The household also included his wife, Mary Hersey, age 32 (b. France); son, John Hersey, age 14 (b. France); son, Jacob Hersey, age 12 (b. France); son, Christian Hersey, age 8 (b. NYS); son, Jonathan Hersey, age 6 (b. Germany) and employed as a "builder" in the construction business, resided as a "boarder" in the household headed by Alfred B. Hanemitt, age 61 (b. NJ; parents b. NJ) at 80 Halsey Street in Brooklyn, New York City, Kings County, New York.  The household also included Urban's wife, Augusta G. Hirschey, no age recorded (b. NYS; father b. Germany; mother b. German speaking Switzerland), who had had no children.  First marriage for both.
