Born about 1896 in Poland. Died 23 May 1976. Immigrated to the US in 1914.
1920 US Census:
1930 US Census: John Jedryczka,
age 34 (b. Poland; parents b. Poland) and employed as an insurance salesman,
was heading a household at 6395 Floyd Street in the City of Detroit, Wayne
County, Michigan. He immigrated to the
US in 1914 (subsequently naturalized), married 1st at
age 27, and his residence was valued at $8,000.
The household also included his wife, Josephine Jedryczka,
age 26 (b. Poland; parents b. Poland), immigrated to the US in 1905 and married
1st at age 19; daughter, Leona Jedryczka, age 6 (b.
MI); daughter, Virginia Jedryczka, age 5 (b. MI);
daughter, Evelyn Jedryczka, age 4 years and 2 months
(b. MI); son, Adolph J. Jedryczka, age 3 years and 0
months (b. MI); roomer, Martin R. Legel, age 27 (b.
PA; parents b. Austria) and employed as a machinist in an auto factory, who
married 1st at age 25; roomer, Anna J. Legel, age 20
(b. MI; parents b. Poland), who married 1st at age 18; roomer, Dolores Legel, age 1 year and 0 months (b. MI); and roomer, Corinne
Legel, age 1 year and 0 months (b. MI).
1940 US Census: John J. Jedryczka,
age 44 (b. Polland) and employed as a metal finisher
in an automobile factory, was heading a household at 7319 Faust Street in the
City of Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.
He had completed 8th grade. The
household also included his wife, Josephine Jedryczka,
age 36 (b. Poland) and employed as a punch press operator in an automobile
parts factory, who had completed 8th grade; daughter, Leona Jedryczka,
age 16 (b. MI); daughter, Virginia Jedryczka, age 15
(b. MI); daughter, Evelyn Jedryczka, age 14 (b. MI);
and son, Adolph Jedryczka, age 13 (b. MI). They resided in the same city on 1 April
1935.
