Born November 1840 in England (perhaps the Charles Kidd, son of Wm. and Mary Kidd, who was baptized 22 Nov 1840 at Elkstone, Stafford, England).  Died .  Immigrated to the US in 1860/64.  Employed as a farmer.

 

1870 US Census: No record found.

 

1880 US Census: Charles R. Kidd, age 38 (b. England; parents b. England) and employed working on a farm, was heading a household in Warren Township, Macomb County, Michigan.  The household also included his wife, Hellen Kidd, age 33 (b. England; parents b. England); father-in-law, Thomas Hearn, age 59 (b. England; parents b. England) and employed as a laborer; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hearn, age 70 (b. England; parents b. England).

 

1900 US Census: Charles Kidd, age 59 (b. Nov 1840 in England; parents b. England) and employed as a gardener, was heading a household in the Village of Utica, Sterling Township, Macomb County, Michigan.  He immigrated to the United States in 1864; subsequently naturalized.  The household also included his wife, Harette Kidd, age 49 (b. Feb 1851 in MI; parents b. NYS), who had had 2 children; daughter, Rose Kidd, age 17 (b. Jan 1883 in MI) and single; and son, William Kidd, age 15 (b. Nov 1885 in MI).

 

1910 US Census: Charles R. Kidd, age 71 (b. England) and employed as a gardener in the market garden industry, was heading a household in Sterling Township, Macomb County, Michigan.  He had been married twice.  The household also included his wife of 16 years, Hattie Kidd, age 59 (b. MI; parents b. NYS), who had been married once and had had no children; daughter, Rose J. Kidd, age 27 (b. MI; parents b. England), single, and employed as a school teacher; and son, William T. Kidd, age 24 (b. MI; parents b. England), single, and employed as a farm hand.

 

1920 US Census: Charles Kidd, age 81 (b. England; parents b. England) and widowed, was heading a household on Stead Street in the Village of Utica, Shelby Township, Macomb County, Michigan.  He immigrated to the US in 1860 and became a naturalized citizen in 1880.  The household also included his daughter, Rose Kidd, age 37 (b. MI; parents b. England), single, and employed as a public school teacher.

Born 17 November 1885 (per MI birth record) in Warren Township, Macomb County, Michigan (also seen: b. 20 Nov 1885/86 in Warren Twp, MI).  Died 13 June 1951 at Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan; interred Utica Cemetery, Utica, Macomb County, Michigan.

 

1918 WWI Draft Registration: William Thomas Kidd, age 32 (b. 20 Nov 1885) and employed as a farmer, resided with his wife, Mrs. William T. Kidd, at RFD #3, Utica, Macomb County, Michigan.

 

1920 US Census: William T. Kidd, age 34 (b. MI; parents b. England) and employed as a truck farmer, was heading a household on River Road in Sterling Township, Macomb County, Michigan.  The household also included his wife, Julia L. Kidd, age 34 (b.  MI; parents b. MI); son, Edgar C. Kidd, age 7 (b. MI); son, Irving W. Kidd, age 4 years and 3 months (b. MI); daughter, Lucile J. Kidd, age 2 years and 6 months (b. MI); and son, Robert V. Kidd, age 11 months (b. MI).

 

1930 US Census: William Kidd, age 44 (b. MI; parents b. England) and employed as a truck farmer, was heading a household in Sterling Heights, Sterling Township, Macomb County, Michigan.  He was married 1st at age 25.  The household also included his wife, Junia Kidd, age 44 (b. MI; parents b. MI), who was married 1st at age 25; son, Edgar Kidd, age 17 (b. MI) and single; son, Irving Kidd, age 14 (b. MI); daughter, Lucille Kidd, age 12 (b. MI); son, Robert Kidd, age 11 (b. MI); daughter, Gladys Kidd, age 8 (b. MI); daughter, Marjorie Kidd, age 7 (b. MI); and son, Clifford Kidd, age 12 months (b. MI).

 

1940 US Census: William T. Kidd, age 54 (b. MI) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Sterling Township, Macomb County, Michigan.  His residence was valued at $5,000 and he had completed 8th grade.  The household also included his wife, Junia Kidd, age 54 (b. MI), who had completed 2 years of college; daughter, Lucille Kidd, age 22 (b. MI) and single, who had completed 2 years of college; son, Robert Kidd, age 21 (b. MI), single and employed as a farm laborer, who had completed 2 years of college; daughter, Marjorie Kidd, age 17 (b. MI) and single, who had completed 4 years of high school; and lodger, Elizabeth Petrock, age 22 (b. MI) and single, who had completed 4 years of college and was employed as a school teacher.  They all resided in the same house in April 1935.

 

1942 WWII Draft Registration: William Thomas Kidd, age 56 (b. 20 Nov 1885 in Macomb Co., MI) and self employed, resided on River Road in Sterling Township, Macomb County, Michigan (mailing address: R1 Utica, MI).  He named his wife, Mrs. Wm T. Kidd, as the person who would always know his address.

Born about 1886 in Michigan; daughter of William S. and Eliza (Harper) Lathers of Inkster, Wayne County, Michigan.  Died 1974; interred with William.  Before marriage employed as a school teacher.  At age 25, when a resident of Inkster, Michigan, married Thomas Kidd, age 25 and a resident of Utica, Michigan, on 9 December 1910 (license issued 8 Dec 1910) in Inkster Township, Wayne County, Michigan.
