Cadwalader
(b. abt 1706, d. 18 Nov 1779, age 73), son of John and Martha (Jones)
Cadwalader. Thomas was educated at the
Friends Academy, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and subsequently studied medicine
and surgery in London, England. He built
a large medical practice in Philadelphia, then moved to Trenton, New Jersey,
where he was, again, a prominent citizen.
Thomas Cadwalader was one of the founders of the Pennsylvania Hospital,
predecessor of the University of Pennsylvania’s Medical Department. He was also a large land owner near Trenton,
New Jersey. Hannah and Thomas had the
following children:

Dagworthy of Trenton, New Jersey.
