NYS) and employed as a "cooker," was heading a household in Cape Vincent Township, Jefferson County, New York.  His real estate was valued at $400.  The household also included his wife, Elizabeth Lince, age 55 (b. NYS); James Lince, age 15 (b. NYS) and employed as a laborer; and Mary Ann Lince, age 18 (b. NYS).

Montgomery Co., NY) and employed as a cooper, was heading a household (very close to the Jonathan Cool and Truman Cool households, in Lyme Township, Jefferson County, New York.  He had resided in Lyme Township for 20 years (3 years less than Jonathan Cool and Truman Cool).  The household also included his wife, Hariet Lince, age 3l (b. Oneida Co., NY), who had resided in Lyme Township for 18 years; daughter, Louisa Lince, age 7 (b. Jefferson Co., NY); son, George Lince, age 6 (b. 1930 US Census: George G. Lince, age 68 (b. NYS), widowed, married 1st at age 19, and employed as a stone cutter in the building industry, resided in the household headed by his grandson, George Lince, age 25 (b. NYS) and employed as a salesman in a furniture store, who was married 1st at age 18, at 114 South Massey Street in the City of Watertown, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included George, Jr.'s wife, Florence Lince, age 25 (b. NYS), who was married 1st at age 18; daughter, Helen Lince, age 6 (b. NYS); and daughter, Jean Lince, age 4 years and 4 months (b. NYS).

1900 US Census: Andrew Walrath, age 59 (b. May 1841 in NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a wagon maker, was heading a household in the Village of Glen Park, Brownville Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife of 2 years, Jessie Walrath, age 35 (b. Mar 1865 in NYS; parents b. NYS).

 

1905 NYS Census: Andrew Walrath, age 67 (b. US), was heading a household on Perch River Road in Brownville Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Jessie A. Walrath, age 41 (b. US).

 

1930 US Census: Jessie A. Walrath, age 66 (b. NYS) and widowed, resided in the household headed by her sister, Lettie T. Horning, age 59 (b. NYS) and widowed, at 442 Cenito Avenue in Long Beach Township, Los Angeles County, California.  Jessie was married 1st at age 20 and Lettie was married 1st at age 33.  The residence was valued at $12,000.  Neither was employed.

 

1940 US Census: Jessie A. Walrath, age 76 (b. NYS) and widowed, resided with her widowed sister, Lettie T. Horning, age 69 (b. NYS) in Long Beach Township, Los Angeles County, California.  They both resided in the same house in April 1935, which was valued at $3,000; both had completed 8th grade; and no employment was recorded for either sister.

 

Jessica Lince married Andrew Walrath (b. 5 May 1835 in NYS, d. 5 Jun 1907; interred Perch River Cemetery, Brownville Twp, Jefferson Co., NY).

1900 US Census: Walter Lince, age 32 (b. Feb 1868 in NYS) and employed as a day laborer, was heading a household in Lyme Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife of 6 years, Tillie Lince, age 26 (b. Jan 1874 in French-speaking Canada; father b. Fr-speaking Canada; mother b. Canada); boarder, Joseph Goodale, age 32 (b. Mar 1868 in NYS); boarder, Charles A. Goodale, age 10 (b. Mar 1890 in NYS); and boarder, Joseph W. Goodale, age 6 (b. Jan 1894 in NYS).

 

(6. Lettie T. Lince: Born 1870 in New York.  Died 1943; gravestone Cedar Grove Cemetery, Lyme Township, Jefferson County, New York.  Resided last with her widowed sister, Jessica, in California.

 

1910 US Census: George W. Northrup, age 56 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household on the Limerick to Perch River Road in Brownville Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife of 19 years, Lettie T. Northrup, age 39 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who had had no children; father-in-law, James Lince, age 75 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who had his own income; mother-in-law, Abigail Lince, age 73 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who had had 10 children, 5 of whom were still alive; and sister-in-law, Jessie A. Walrath, age 46 (b. NYS) and widowed, who had had no children.

 

1915 NYS Census: George Northey, age 66, was heading a household in Brownville Township, Jefferson County, New York.  The household also included his wife, Lette Northey, age 44.

 

Lettie Lince married (1st) George W. Northrup (b. 1854, d. 1922; interred Cedar Grove Cem., Lyme Twp, Jefferson Co., NY) about 1891; no children.  Lettie married (2nd) (?) Horning.  Resided last in Long Beach Township, Los Angeles County, California.

 

1   Catherine "Katie" Lince:

 

Born 9 November 1815 in Frankfort Township, Herkimer County, New York.  Died 6 December 1892, age 87, in Pensaukee Township, Oconto County, Wisconsin.  Married Benjamin Franklin Cool, paragraph 3.e.(2. Of generation 5 of the Cool Annex in 1835.
