Born 15 December 1861 in England.  Died 29 June 1931, age 69.  Married Marie Keiley (b. 23 Dec 1867 in Queenstown, England, d. 18 Aug 1935 (age 67) at Vincennes, Knox County, IN) and had the following children:

 

1.  Francis Lyman: Born 9 September 1885 at Fountanet, Vigo County, Indiana.  Died 10 December 1926, age 41.

 

2.  James Lyman: See generation 5, below.

 

3.  Mary Jane Lyman: Born 21 October 1894 at Fountanet, Vigo County, Indiana.  Died 1 August 1974, age 79.  Married John/Frank Ryan.

 

4.  John Lyman: Born 25 November 1895 at Fountanet, Vigo County, Indiana.  Died 18 July 1979, age 83.

 

5.  Joseph Lyman: Twin.  Born 19 June 1896 at Fountanet, Vigo County, Indiana.  Died 11 June 1977, age 80.

 

6.  Margaret Lyman: Twin.  Born 19 June 1896 at Fountanet, Vigo County, Indiana.  Died 3 October 1982, age 86.

 

7.  Nellie Lyman: Born 18 July 1904 at Fountanet, Vigo County, Indiana.  Died 30 March 1980, age 75, at Fountanet.

 

8.  Michael Lyman: Born 1905.  Died shortly following birth.

 

3   James Lyman

 

Born 30 August 1886 at Fountanet, Vigo County, Indiana.  Died 11 October 1952, age 66, at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana and interred there in Calvery Cemetery.  James married (1st) (as her (1st) husband) Estie Dougherty (b. 12 Nov 1893 at Farmersburg, Sullivan Co., IN, d. 3 Nov 1964, age 70, at E. Jordan, MI and interred 5 Nov in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona, MI) daughter of Robert and Clara (Berlien) Dougherty (who also had a son, Wade (b. 24 Feb 1898)), at Sullivan County, Indiana and had the following children:

 

1.  Wanda Daphine Lyman: Born 1911 at Farmersburg, Sullivan County, Indiana.  Died October 1919 at Sullivan County, and interred there in Nyles Chapel.

 

2.  James Robert Lyman: See generation 5, below.

 

3.  Thomas Clyde Lyman: Born 20 August 1915 at Farmersburg, Sullivan County, Indiana.  Married (1st) Irene Ellen Shippey at San Francisco on 7 August 1943.  They were divorced.  Married (2nd) Ruth DeLain Ireland at Winterhaven, California on 5 November 1961.

 

James and Estie (Dougherty) Lyman were divorced, and Estie went on to marry Louis Shorter, Marvin Trudeau, and Gaspard Emery.

 

James Lyman married (2nd) Marcella Helen Evans and had the following son:

 

4.  John Joseph Lyman: Born 1949 at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana.  Married Barbara Jane Dowden at Terre Haute in 1969.  They were divorced in 1981.

 

2    James Robert Lyman/Lynam

 

Born 8 February 1913 at Sullivan County, Indiana.  Christened at the Farmersburg Presbyterian Church.  In 1942, probably in Wayne County, Michigan, James officially changed his surname to Lyman from Lynam for clarification of military records, since earlier family members had spelled it both ways.  Died 1985, age 72, at Terre Haute, Indiana, and remains were interred in Westlawn Cemetery, Farmersburg, Sullivan County, Indiana.  Married Ruby Deloris Norris (b. 15 July 1916 at Sullivan County, IN), daughter of William Alfred Norris and Vivian Lusta (Woods) Norris (see Norris Annex), at Marshall, Illinois in 1934.

 

1.  Lester Leon Lyman: Born 1935 at Shelburn, Sullivan County, Indiana.  Married Mildred June Stewart (b. 1935 at Sullivan Co., IN) at Indianapolis in 1952 and had the following children:

 

a.  Terri Lynn Lyman: Born 1955 at Sullivan County, Indiana.

 

b.  Leslie June Lyman: Born 1957 at Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.

 

c.  Catherine Ann Lyman: Born 1959 at Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.

 

d.  Lester Leon Lyman, Jr.: Born 1962 at Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.

 

Lester and Mildred also adopted the following daughter:

 

e.  Ann Elizabeth Lyman: Born 1965.

 

2.  William Robert Lyman: Born 1936 at Ecorse Township, Wayne County, Michigan.  Married Catherine Yvonne Lepey (b. 1935 at Lacona, IA) in 1955 in South Dakota and had the following children:

 

a.  Danny Wayne Lyman: Born 1957 in Texas.

 

b.  Gregory Lyman: Born 1960 in Indiana.

 

c.  Anita June Lyman: Born 1964.

 

3.  Mary Ellen Lyman

 

Born 1937 at Farmersburg, Indiana.  Married (1st) Laurel Eugene Moore at Shelburn, Indiana in 1955 and had the following son:

 

a.  Robert Eugene Moore, Jr.: Born 1956 at Denver, Arapahoe County, Colorado.  Married (st) Sharon Ann Leonard in 1974 and had the following daughter:

 

(1)  Darby Dawn Moore: Born 1974 at Bagdad, Yavapai County, Arizona.

 

Robert Eugene and Sharon Ann (Leonard) Moore were divorced.  Robert married (2nd) Sheree Ann Smith in 1977 and had the following children:

 

(1)  Lacy Dannielle Moore: Born 1978 at Bagdad, Yavapai County, Arizona.

 

(2)  Jaylon Robert Moore: Born 1981 at Yavapai Community Medical Center, Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona.

 

Robert and Sheree Ann (Smith) Moore were divorce in 1983.

 

Mary Ellen (Lyman) Moore and Laurel Eugene Moore were divorced at Tucson, Pima County, Arizona in 1962.  She married (2nd) William Preston Napier (b. 1937 at Harlem Co. KY) at Bagdad, Yavapai County, Arizona in 1962 and had the following daughter:

 

a.  Patricia Ann Napier: Born 1966 at Prescott Hospital, Prescott, Arizona.  Married Serio Sandoval at Bagdad, Yavapai County, Arizona in 1985.

 

4.  Nancy Carol Lyman: Born 1938 at Farmersburg, Sullivan County, Indiana.  Married Gary Lee Southwood (b. 21 Aug 1938) at Shelburn, Indiana in 1958 and had the following children:

 

a.  Keith Southwood: Born 1960 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.

 

b.  Timothy Southwood: Born 1964 at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.

 

5.  James Raleigh Lyman: Born 1940 at Linton, Greene County, Indiana.  Married Judith Anne Friedman at Boulder, Colorado on 27 December 1940 and had the following children:

 

a. Danette Marie Lyman: Born 1958 at Boulder, Colorado.

 

b. Michele Renee Lyman: Born 1959 at Boulder, Colorado.  Married Charles Ronald Giggey and had the following son:

 

(1)  Adam Cody Giggey.

 

c. James Raliegh Lyman, Jr.: Born 1962 at Boulder, Colorado.
