1. Biographical notes:

 

Born 8 February 1880/81 in Germany.  Died 7 August 1928 in Winsor Township, Huron County, Michigan.  In 1896 (age 16) immigrated to the US from Fernabrunst, Germany aboard the ship "Switzerland" out of Antwerp, arriving at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 28 May 1896.

 

1900 US Census: Fredrich Madinger, age 19 (b. Feb 1881 in Germany; parents b. Germany), single, and employed as a farm laborer, was boarding in the household headed by Adam Kirchner, age 38 (b. Dec 1861 in Germany) and employed as a farmer, in Winsor Township, Huron County, Michigan.  Fredrich immigrated to the US in 1896.  Adam also immigrated to the US in 1886 [referred to as Frederich's brother on immigration document].  The household also included Adam's wife of 11 years [perhaps Fredrich's sister], Hannah Kirchner, age 41 (b. Feb 1859 in Germany; parents b. Germany), who had had no children and immigrated to the US in 1883.  Fredrich immigrated to the US in 1896.

 

1910 US Census: Frederich Madinger, age 30 (b. Germany; parents b. Germany) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Winsor Township, Huron County, Michigan. He had been married once. The household also included his wife of 5 years, Agnes Madinger, age 31 (b. MI; father b. Germany; mother b. MI), who had been married once and had had 3 children, 2 of whom were still alive; son, Walter M. Madinger, age 4 (b. MI); daughter, Arlene H. Madinger, age 1 year and 6 months (b. MI); and hired man, Henry Dubel, age 18 (b. Canada), who was employed doing farm labor.

 

1920 US Census: Fred Madinger, age 39 (b. Germany; parents b. Bavaria, Germany) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Winsor Township, Huron County, Michigan.  He immigrated to the US in 1896 and was naturalized in 1913.  The household also included his wife, Agness Madinger, age 40 (b. MI; parents b. Hessia, Germany); son, Walter Madinger, age 14 (b. MI); daughter, Arlene Madinger, age 11 (b. MI); son, William Madinger, age 9 (b. MI); son, Alfred Madinger, age 7 (b. MI); son, Hearald Madinger, age 3 (b. MI); and hired man, Mike Barnhart, age 44 (b. MI; parents b. German-speaking Canada), single, and employed doing farm labor.

Born about 1880 in Michigan; daughter of Carl Morssuer/Mosner.  Died .  Married Fred Madinger on 5 October 1904 (license issued 29 Sep 1904) in Michigan.

Born 30 April 1908 at Pigeon, Winsor Township, Huron County, Michigan.  Died 9 May 1946 at Bay City, Bay County, Michigan.  Married (1st) Howard Cool Montei, on 28 August 1929 at Bay City, Bay County, Michigan.  Married (2nd) Leroy "Roy" Reginald Zoller.
