Alice McCallops married (1st) Clarence Ingersoll Webb (b. abt 1888) on 23 March 1918 at Watertown, Jefferson County, New York and had 5 children.

 

Alice (McCallops) Hunt married (2nd) George A. Hunt, Jr. (b. Feb 1872 in Diana Twp, Lewis Co., NY, d. 18 Jan 1903 in an explosion at the Dexter Sulfite Factory, Dexter, Brownville Twp, NY), son of George W. and Emma N. (Foster) Hunt, in 1893/92 in Theresa Township, Jefferson County, New York and had the following children:

 Harry McCallops married (1st) Cora Spaulsbury (more info) (b. abt 1879 in NYS, d. 19 Apr 1906, age 26 at home in Stone Mills, Orleans Township, Jefferson County, New York after a long, painful illness), daughter of Charles and Ada (Allen) Spaulsbury of Parish, Oswego County, New York, and had the following children:

 

(a. Royal "Roy" E. McCallops: Born 3 August 1901 at Dexter, Brownville Township, Jefferson County, New York (also seen: b. Stone Mills, Jefferson Co., NY).  Died 24 October 1964 at Mercy Hospital, Watertown, Jefferson County; interred St. Michael's Cemetery, Antwerp, Jefferson County, New York.  Lost his mother when he was about age 5.  Was in a Watertown, New York orphanage in 1910.  Before marriage resided at Potsdam, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Owned and operated Mac's Garage on Arsenal Street, Watertown, Jefferson County.

 

1920 US Census: Roy McCallops, age 8 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) was an inmate in the Jefferson County Orphanage, Watertown, Jefferson County, New York.

 

1925 NYS Census: Royal E. McCallops, age 23, resided in the household headed by his father-in-law, George McCauly, age 52 (b. Canada) in Diana Township, Lewis County, New York.  The household also included Royal's wife, Doris M. McCallops, age 20.

 

1930 US Census: Royal Elmer McCallops, age 29 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS) and employed as operator of his own garage, was heading a household on Balmat-Fowler Road in Fowler Township, St. Lawrence County, New York.  He married 1st at age 22.  The household also included his wife, Doris M. McCallops, age 25 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who married 1st at age 18; and daughter, Ellen L. McCallops, age 3 years and 6 months (b. NYS).

 

1940 US Census: Royal McCallop, age 38 (b. NYS) and employed as mechanic in a garage, was heading a household at 1001 Arsenal Street in the City of Watertown, Jefferson County, New York.  He had completed 8th grade.  The household also included his wife, Doris McCallop, age 35 (b. NYS), who had completed 3 years of high school; daughter, Ellen McCallop, age 13 (b. NYS); son, Leonard McCallop, age 10 (b. NYS); and daughter, Nancy McCallop, age 2 (b. NYS).  On 1 April 1935 Royal resided in rural St. Lawrence County, New York and the rest of his family resided in rural Jefferson County, New York.

 

At age 23, while a resident of Newton Falls, St. Lawrence County, New York, Royal McCallops married Doris Mary McCauley (b. 4 Apr 1905 at Unionville, NY (also seen: b. Potsdam, St. Lawrence Co., NY), d. 12 Aug 1976 at the Ogdensburg Hospital, Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, NY; interred with Royal), age 19 and also a resident of Newton Falls, daughter of George (b. Canada) and Gertrude (Marvin) McCauley (b. US, m. 22 Jun 1904, d. late Oct 1958), on 3 November 1924 (license issued 25 Oct 1924) at Benson Mines, St. Lawrence County, New York and had the following children: (order uncertain)

McCallops: Born 4 April 1930 at Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Died 26 November 2012 in United Helpers Nursing Home, Oswegatchie Township, St. Lawrence County, New York.  In 1954 was a tank command sergeant in the 108th Tank Infantry at Camp Drum. Resided in Florida in 1976.   Married Dorothy Chavoustie of Redwood, New York.
