Born 18 April 1917 in Almeda County, California.  Married, as his 1st wife, Elmore Howard Biles, Jr., descendant # 1.2 of generation 11 of the Descendants of John Addison Biles.

1920 US Census: Lawrence F. Osborne, age 36 (b. IL; parents b. IL) and employed as a steam fitter in a cannery, was heading a household at 1084 Spring Street in the City of Oakland, Oakland Township, Alameda County, California.  The household also included his wife, Agnes F. Osborne, age 36 (b. CA; father b. NYS; mother b. Scotland); and daughter, Adele A. Osborne, age 2 years and 8 months (b. CA; father b. IL; mother b. CA).

 

1930 US Census: Lawrence Osborne, age 46 (b. IL; parents b. IL) and employed as a machinist for a cannery, was heading a household at 1028 63rd Street in the City of Oakland, Oakland Township, Alameda County, California.  His residence was valued at $4,000 and he was married 1st at age 25.  The household also included his wife, Agnes L. Osborne, age 46 (b. CA; father b. NYS; mother b. Scotland), who was married 1st at age 25; daughter, Adele Osborne, age 12 (b. CA; father b. IL; mother b. CA); and son, Robert F. Osborne, age 5 (b. CA; father b. IL; mother b. CA).

 

1940 US Census: Lawrence Osborne, age 56 (b. IL) and employed as a machinist is a can factory, was heading a household at 1026 63rd St in the City of Oakland, Oakland Township, Alameda County, California.  His residence was valued at $3,000, he had completed 2 years of high school, and he resided in the same house in April 1935.  The household also included his wife, Agnes Osborne, age 56 (b. CA), who had completed 2 years of high school; son, Robert Osborne, age 15 (b. CA), single, and employed as a paper carrier for a newspaper, who had completed 2 years of high school; and niece, Dorothy J. Osborne, age 30 (b. CA), single, and employed as a typist, who had completed no schooling and in April 1930 resided in Marinez Township, California.
