1850 US Census: Daniel Rockwood, age 42 (b. NYS) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Brownville Township, Jefferson County, New York.  His real estate was valued at $1,200.  The household also included his presumed wife, Laura Rockwood, age 27 (b. NYS); presumed son, Dennis Rockwood, age 10 (b. NYS); presumed son, Byron Rockwood, age 8 (b. NYS); presumed daughter, Annette Rockwood, age 3 (b. NYS); and presumed father, Elam Rockwood, age 74 (b.
