1. Biographical notes:

 

Born about 1734 at Biberach in the Duchy of Wurttenburg, Germany.  Died 3 April 1797 in Lynn Township, Northampton (now Lehigh) County, Pennsylvania.  Emigrated from Germany to America on board the sailing ship "Peggy," arriving at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 16 October 1754.  Settled in Lynn Township, Northampton (now Lehigh) County, Pennsylvania prior to 1765.  On 12 November 1768 Henry took out a warrant to purchase 70 acres of land in Lynn Township.  In 1812 he and his two sons, John and Henry, were among those included on the Lynn Township tax list.  Between 1816 and 1817 Henry purchased lots 83, 129, and 130 in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania.

 

1790 US Census: Henry was heading a household in Lynn Township, Pennsylvania which also included 2 males under 16 years of age, 2 males over 16, and 3 females.

1850 US Census: Jacob Rubrecht, age 63 (b. PA) and employed as a laborer, was heading a household in Weisenburg, Weisenbert Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife, Elisabeth Rubrecht, age 58 (b. PA); daughter, Lidia Rubrecht, age 23 (b. PA); and son, Daniel Rubrecht, age 12 (b. PA).

May 1851 in IN; parents b. IN), who had had 6 children, 3 of whom were still alive; son, Wilford Rubrecht, age 18 (b. At age 26 Jacob Rubrecht married Amelia Lightfoot (b. 7 Apr 1852 in Fugit Twp, Decatur Co., IN, d. 8 Feb 1945 at Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX), age 29, daughter of Wilford Ungle and Minerva (Ardery) Lightfoot, on 4 March 1883 (license issued 3 Mar 1883) at Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa and had the following children:

1918 WWI Draft Registration: Wilford Ardery Rubrecht, age 34 (b. 12 Sep 1884) and employed as an assistant engineer for Union Metal Mines of Jasper County, Missouri, resided at Carl Jet, Jasper County, Missouri.  He designated his wife, Mrs. Nora Rubrecht, of the same address as his nearest relative.

 

1920 US Census: Wilford Rubrecht, age 35 (b. IA; father b. PA; mother b. IN) and employed as , was heading a household in the Village of Waco, Twin Groves Township, Jasper County, Missouri.  The household also included his wife, Nora Rubrecht, age 26 (b. KS; father b. US; mother b. IN); daughter, Edna Rubrecht, age 6 (b. KS); and mother, Amelia Rubrecht, age 66 (b. IN; parents b. IN) and widowed.

 

1930 US Census: Wilford Rubrecht, age 46 (b. IA; father b. PA; mother b. IN) and employed as a mine engineer, was heading a household in Asbury, Jasper Township, Jasper County, Missouri.  He married 1st at age 29.  The household also included his wife, Nora Rubrecht, age 36 (b. KS; father b. IN; mother b. IA), who married 1st at age 18; daughter, Edna Rubrecht, age 17 (b. KS) and single; and mother, Amelia Rubrecht, age 78 (b. IN) and widowed.

 

At age 27, while a resident of Pittsburg, Kansas, Wilford Rubricht married Nora Ellen/H. Sales (b. 9 Apr 1893 at Wauneta, Chautauqua Co., KS, d. 20 Mar 1976 at Tulsa, Tulsa Co., OK), age 18, daughter of Charles and Katie Rose (Bellville) Sales, on 16 May 1912 at Girard, Crawford County, Kansas and had the following daughter:

NC), single, and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in the City of Bowie, Montague County, Texas.  The household also included his brother, Julius Conner, age 59 (b. TN; parents b. NC), single, and employed as a farmer; sister, Daisy R. Rubrecht, age 38 (b. TN; parents b. NC) and widowed; nephew, Edgar S. Rubrecht, age 15 (b. TX); nephew, Lester Rubrecht, age 10 (b. TX); nephew, Jacob Rubrecht, age 8 (b. TX); nephew, Wilford Rubrecht, age 3 (b. TX); and sister, Laura J. Conner, age 51 (b. TN; parents b. NC) and single, with no record of employment.

 

1940 US Census: Daisy Rubrecht, age 49 (b. KY) and widowed, was heading a household at 401 Toombs Street in the City of Bowie, Montague County, Texas.  She had completed 7th grade.  The household also included her son, Edgar S. Rubrecht, age 22 (b. TX), single, and employed as a mechanic in a garage, who had completed 4 years of high school; son, Lester A. Rubrecht, age 21 (b. TX), single, and employed as a carpenter, who had completed 8th grade; and son, William W. Rubrecht, age 13 (b. TX), single, and employed as operator of a roller rink, who had completed 6th grade.  On 1 April 1935 they resided in the same city.

 

Edgar Rubricht married Daisy R. Conner (b. 12 Mar 1891 in TN, d. Jul 1975) on 3 October 1916 in Montague County, Texas and had the following children:

At age 22 Daniel Rubrecht married Rosa A. Seibert (b. 14 Dec 1865 in Lehigh Co., PA), age 21, daughter of Jonas Seibert, on 10 April 1887 at Lynnport, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.

1. Biographical notes:

 

Born  between 1750 and 1754 at Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany (also seen: b. abt 1760); his mother died shortly after his birth.  Died 1794 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred Zions Red Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery (the color being symbolic of the bloodshed by early settlers who built it in 1754) on Route 61 between Orwigsburg and Deer Lake, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.  Immigrated to America with his parents in 1754.  Moved from Lynn Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania across the Blue Mountains and settled initially at Centre Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, where he owned and farmed a large tract of land, later known as the Renschler farm.  In later years Jonas moved to Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, where he died.  Many of Jonas's descendants resided in the vicinity of Hamburg and Shoemakerville, Berks County, Pennsylvania, where some changed the spelling of their surname to Rubright.

PA) and employed presumably employed as a weaver, like the man enumerated before him, was heading a household in Perry Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife, Sarah Rubrecht, age 45 (b. PA), who had completed 6th grade; and brother-in-law, Emanuel Rubright, age 70 (b. Born 3 October 1831 at Hamburg, Windsor Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.  Died 8 December 1918 at Frackville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred there in Odd Fellows Cemetery.  Attended the local pay schools, but left at an early age to learn carpentry with his brother-in-law, David Shearer.  Also learned pump making from his father.  Moved from Windsor Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania to Hamburg, Pennsylvania, where he was employed in the shipyards as a carpenter and pump maker.  Then in 1868 moved to Frackville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, where he was employed as a school teacher and as a lock tender on the Schuylkill Canal.

Married Sarah Ingram of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and resided at Frackville.  Wilbur and Sarah had the following children:

Born 3/2 July 1882/81 at Frackville/Ashland, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.  Died 15/16 July 1945 at Frackville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred there in Odd Fellows Cemetery.  Resided his entire life at Frackville, Pennsylvania.  Employed as a coal mine shovel operator.

 

1910 US Census: Norton M. Rubright, age 28 (b. PA; parents b. PA), was heading a household in Middle Frackville Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.  The household also included his wife, Della Rubright, age 25 (b. PA; parents b. PA); daughter, Hazel M. Rubright, age 4 (b. PA); and boarder, John Kienzle, age 23 (b. PA).

Richard Crowther, Jr. (b. 1932), son of C. Richard Crowther of 3811 St. Lawrence Avenue, Esterly, Pennsylvania, in 1953 at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church and eventually resided at Indian Wells, California.  Richard, Jr. graduated from Reading High School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  In 2004 they resided at Oley, Pennsylvania.  Nancy and Richard had the following son:
