The household also included his wife, Mary Schatz, age 38 (b. Austria);
daughter, Rose Schatz, age 3 (b. NYS); son, Martin Schatz, age 1 (b. NYS);
Martin Bachner, age 4 (b. Austria); and Rosennia Bachner, age 39 (b.
Austria).
1925 NYS Census: Michael Schatz, age 52, who
immigrated to the US in 1914, was heading a household in the City of Watertown,
Jefferson County, New York. The
household also included his wife, Maria Schatz, age 42; daughter, Marie Schatz,
age 23; son, Michael Schatz, age 16; son, John Schatz, age 14; daughter, Rosina
Schatz, age 8; son, Martin Schatz, age 6; son, George Schatz, age 5; son,
William Schatz, age 2; and son, Karl Schatz, age 1.
1940 US Census: Michael Schatz, age 66 (b.
Austria-Hungary), with no recorded occupation, was heading a household at 624
East Main Street in the City of Watertown, Jefferson County, New York. He had completed 8th grade, and his residence
was valued at $2,200. The household also
included his wife, Maria Schatz, age 58 (b. Austria-Hungary), who had completed
8th grade; daughter, Rose Schatz, age 23 (b. NYS) and employed as a cashier for
a local finance company, who had completed 4 years of high school; son, Martin
Schatz, age 21 (b. NYS) and employed as a core maker for an air brake company,
who had completed 4 years of high school; son, George Schatz, age 19 (b. NYS)
and employed as a core maker for an air brake company, who had completed 4

NYS); and daughter, Clara Marie Schatz, age 3 (b. NYS). On 1 April 1935 they resided in the same
city.
