Born 30 May 1910 in New York. Died 10 January 1992 in Jefferson County, New York.
1930 US Census: Joseph Soluri,
age 19 (b. NYS; parents b. Italy) and employed as a shoemaker (his own
business), was heading a household at 667 Bronson Street in the City of
Watertown, Jefferson County, New York.
He married 1st at age 18. The
household also included his wife, Violet Soluri, age
20 (b. NYS; parents b. NYS), who married 1st at age 19; daughter, Vivian Soluri, age 4 months (b. NYS); boarder, Edward Younis, age 24 (b. Syria; parents b. Syria), single, and
employed as a buffer for a plumbing supply business; and boarder, Margaret
Rocco, age 5 (b. NYS; parents b. Italy).
1940 US Census: Joseph Soluri,
age 29 (b. NYS) and employed as a laborer on a government project, was heading
a household at 825 Earl Street in the City of Watertown, Jefferson County, New
York. He had completed 7th grade. The household also included his wife, Violet Soluri, age 30 (b. NYS), who had completed 8th grade;
daughter, Vivian Soluri, age 10 (b. NYS); son, Joseph
Soluri, Jr., age 9 (b. NYS); son, Robert Soluri, age 8 (b. NYS); son, Richard Soluri,
age 4 (b. NYS); son, Ralph Soluri, age 2 (b. NYS);
and daughter, Sally Soluri, age 6 months (b.
NYS). They resided in the same city in
April 1935.
