1855 NYS Census: Schyler S. Soper, age 52 (b. Oneida Co., NY) and employed as a farmer, was heading a household in Theresa Township, Jefferson County, New York. He had resided in Theresa Township for 38 years. He resided in a stone house that was valued at $300. The household also included his wife, Maryett Soper, age 49 (b. Jefferson Co., NY), who had resided in Theresa Township for 38 years; son, Philo Soper, age 26 (b. Jefferson Co., NY); daughter-in-law, Gederan Soper, age 21 (b.
